    TeakDOOR Trump Approval Rating

El Trumpo has had his feet under the Resolute Desk for a month now so do the TeakDoorians approve or disapprove of his performance so far.

It has certainly been an eventful few weeks from a policy perspective.

His rhetoric has been as controversial as one might expect but based on actual steps and results so far do you on balance approve or disapprove?

Poll is anonymous and closes in 7 days.

Some more options might have been more interesting. E.g. add strongly approve, strongly disapprove and neutral.

Rouge, there's a thought. Do you think he could come out as gay? That would be huge fun.

Trumps ignorance and arrogance (aided by musk) will severely damage America (probably beyond repair for the next decade).

Example. Trump/Musk closed USAID, which provides food to many parts of the world. OK. Cut it and save that money. EXCEPT (!) much of the food that is distributed is grown by AMERICAN farmers.

They are now fucked as there is none to buy their crops, and they (farmers) are going to take a huge pounding.

Add that contracts with farmers for development of their infrastructure have just been cancelled (despite many farmers having fronted the cash). Add in likely reciprocal tariffs, as well as a crack down on illegals who were the mainstay of harvesting and Trump/Musk are likely to break the backbone of farming in America.

Agree. Not just about his ignorance, his obvious arrogance in refusing to respect input from smarter people. (Not Musk.) So he is completely ignoring how his actions will impact farming, the stock market and consumers. Amongst other issues.
The thing is, whatever you or I think of the orange baby, we have to admit that he lives the life of a rich man (probably without being rich) and life has propelled him to the presidency of the USA, not once but twice. If I were in his position, I'd probably feel able to make my own calls without listening to other, less successful people.
My own opinion is that his actions will leave the USA in a mess, a mess which could arrive fairly quickly if the markets get spooked. When he calls to ask me about my opinion then TD will be the first to know.

They took one during the first Trump term.
According to Forbes Trumps bailout of farmers then cost $28 billion

He is incredible and not in a good way.
A convict a liar among other qualities which many share.
I have many faults but stabbing UKraine in the front is above my pay grade.

He is a disgrace and his apologists. Putin Xi and similar old anti democrats are delighted,
It doesn't mean the Americans are bad people and there is surely waste in government everywhere.

The only upside is November 2028 he'll be history , by which time Musk and his sawstikars may have taken over the public debate and President Vance or similar usher in the Fourth Reich. Dems need to polish Gavin Newsome now.

I guess the sensible wannabee Dems are holding fire until he and the economy implode and he falls out with Musk.
If I could crowdfund putting him on Starship X one way to Mars I would.

If there's one thing worse than Trump it must be Melania's eternal bar fine having to appear smiling with the "Mushroom" Monster monger.

Appears the lefties are still living in LaLa land and are unable to grasp what Trump is doing, guess they were happy with the trangender & corruption agenda and admire the previous mobsters who have enrichened themselves from taxpayers money not to mention all those who have died in wars that they have supported as per there deep state masters instructions.
Ridiculous though it seems many are still oblivious to the fact that the world is controlled by a deep state who don't have there best interests at heart
Even more ludicrous is they believe the pedo thief Biden and co were doing a good job....

There are aspects of his foreign policy that I find a bit worrying, but Europe has the same GDP as the US and should really be spending a lot more on defence; and his hard line on Ukraine is almost certain to bring this about.

His economic policy I don't think is possible to judge until we see the effects. Economics is just not a science since it is based on hard to predict human behaviour.

I like his policies on borders, bringing manufacturing back to US, push back against transgender nonsense, pulling the rug from under DEI and willingness to think outside the box on potential solutions to hard problems like Palestine.

He can have a diplomatically challenging personal style and manner but seems to have a huge amount of energy for a 78 year-old.

On balance at this stage I am going with Approve.

I think your cocksucking of Trump has already been noted elsewhere.

The EU will not be able to ramp up arms production in time to stop Ukraine from being overrun.

The economy here in the US is already tanking. Canada is the US number one trading partner.
