You should not make too much of one fruitcakes utterances, although his views of what the uk should have done in the 1930s was the view of much of the establishment then, including the bbc of the time. his comments reflect the kind of "lets pretend its nothing to with us" detachment that fence sitters adhere to and that encourages aggressive dictatorships to thrive.Shock as Reform UK candidate says UK should have been neutral against Hitler
Farage is a populist spiv, albeit a media savvy one.
Sunak is a lightweight, without any personality.
Starmer is a bomb on a short fuse. Wait and see what happens when he gets in.
Well deserved since many of them voted Brexit.
How many silly buggers will believe in Farage again and ruin the country even more. He's poison and has no solutions. It's always someone elses fault.
The country is about to enter a period of opposition free government, i.e. a dictatorship. Led by a vacillating weakling who will soon be overthrown by far more powerful, spiteful and ruthless leader(s)
Voted in by a disinterested and selfish populace, who cannot understand that there was always going to be a price paid for being supported at huge cost for 2 years during the lockdowns and Putins energy crisis. Of course inflation and taxes must rise, and of course once mental health is mentioned every chancer in the country will claim mental health problems for their laziness, entitlement and need for government and public sympathy.
The chinese are laughing their fucking heads off at the gradual collapse of democracy and pathetic weakness of the West.
The collapse of democracy and pathetic weakness certainly put Sunak into power.

Some reasoned analysis would be preferable to your constant infantile "tory scum, kill the rich, workers rights and let all hug illegal immigrants " autocue schtick.

Don't be absurd!
The problem is. Farage is a fraud, a far right fraud that doesn't let truth interfere with his politics.
A good article about Farage appeared in The Guardian on Friday
‘He was a deeply unembarrassed racist’: Nigel Farage, by those who have known him | General election 2024 | The Guardian
What I fail to understand is why the media allow him to state obvious misrepresenation of facts without bothering to pick him up on those facts. They let them pass as if they were true when a simple check shows them to be at best half truths (out of context) or downright lies.
One only hopes that he hasn't swayed the likes of Tax into voting for UK Reform, which he owns and is the spring from which a dictatorship is more likely to arise.
Brexit was a populist policy, a policy that has seen the disintegration of the Conservative Party and the decline of the UK. This is the the direct result of Farage and his destructive ways, not someone with far reaching solutions but a man who likes to dabble and leaves a trail of disaster behind him.
The GE is not the place for protest votes, nor is it the place for unworkable populist policies.
China is currently in much deeper shxt than the UK. It's closer to collapsing than western countries.
