^ The Sykes-Picot Agreement wasn't used to define the borders, which were agreed later. Israel wasn't part of that agreement, it was still merely a twinkle in the Zionist's eye.

I was at uni during the Iraq/Iran and prepared a xmas dinner for a couple of them, and a Jordanian. The Iraqi and Iranian were both tank commanders, fought against eachother, ended up great friends on their post grad courses.

i certainly dont need to get out more, and my fears have all been confronted and conquered. i have travelled widely in the middle east, including gaza and know many moderate palestinians living in the uk, all of whom would be very happy to see the back of hamas, hezbollah and iran.
israel will be doing the world a favour, but many innocents will die in the process. i would opine that if the eradication is not carried out now, the future death toll would be much higher. the palestinians and the israelis could be living in harmony side by side if it wasnt for the radicals. and yes there are radicals on the israeli side too, their political system means they hold the balance of power, but the land can be shared, to the benefit of both parties if compromises can be reached.
but first, there is a job to do. a dirty job. and it must be done.
