The Russian security forces took that over this morning, shut down the severs, etc.

It seems like Snubby may have been correct in so much as the Russian army may not be able to protect Moscow in time??? (I'm just guessing; it seems hard to believe that a couple of planes wouldn't be able to destroy a column of armoured vehicles)?

Strange to say, but seems like they'll be battles, in Russia, soon between various armed groups - Chechens attacking Wagner; Russian army around Moscow fighting Wagner. It seems absurd that it'll come to that, but... (I have no idea, obviously...)

Pravda Ukraine NOT Putin's propaganda claims he has fled Moscow to a bunker

Many others fled the capital as violence looms and Russia throttles media

After some time, another special news bulletin about Prigozhin was released on Channel One, Novaya Gazeta writes. It showed the appeal of General Surovikin to Wagner mercenaries, which had previously appeared on Telegram channels.
According to Sota, amid the confrontation between the Wagnerites and the Russian military, the VKontakte social network began to block the publication of Prigozhin's statements. Judging by the screenshot published by the publication, the administration of the social network refers to the requirement of the Prosecutor General's Office, which was issued on 23 June.
In addition, the Vazhnie Istorii outlet writes that Russian providers probably began to block access to news on Google. The publication drew attention to GlobalCheck data; only 25% of users in Russia had access to news on Google at about 01:00 (Moscow time)

I don't know like all of us I am relaying reports from a variety of sources

The bigger picture is bad for Putin great for Ukraine but may escalate in unforeseen ways

I am glad i am not in Moldova, Estonia or Kaliningrad tonight but esp not Rostov .

I'm retiring soon sure to have a better sleep than the poor ordinary people of Russia and Ukraine who seek peace

Goodnight everyone sleep safe , for all the shenanigans I feel a lot safer here than in Europe USA or large parts of Sydney

The column also contains anti-air defenses. And judging by how fast Wagner took Rostov without a fight, pilots are probably refusing orders.

Prigozhin has more support from the Russian people, and Russian soldiers, than Shoigu does. I don't think there is going to be much of a fight, except for maybe at the Kremlin.

The mayor of Moscow has declared Monday a non-working day, excluding emergency and essential services, and the industrial military complex. This is to minimise risks in a counter terrorism situation. He also urges people to refrain from travelling around the city as much as possible.

This is a rather interesting development in history, and quite surprising there is not better live coverage of what is going on.

Just watched the BBC for 20 minutes - truly dire; awful host, awful guests.

Regardless, the situation is utter insanity. What's gonna happen next (other than a dead chef...)?

Deal reached to stop the advance

    the guardian

The office of the Belarus president, Alexander Lukashenko, just announced that Wagner leader Yevgeny Prigozhin has accepted a proposal to “stop the movement of armed persons of the Wagner company on the territory of Russia and take further steps to de-escalate tensions”, the president’s office said, with similar reporting in Russian news outlets.

The statement said that Vladimir Putin briefed Lukashenko in the morning and, with his approval, Lukashenko held negotiating talks with Prigozhin.

“Negotiations continued throughout the day. As a result, they came to agreements on the inadmissibility of unleashing a bloody massacre on the territory of Russia,” the statement read.

Wagner and Prigozhin have not commented on the negotiations.

    _________

Here’s a look at Yevgeny Prigozhin’s full statement on pulling back his mercenaries, made via audio message:

Prigozhin just now: "They wanted to disband Wagner. We set out on June 23 for the "March of Justice". In a day we marched just short of 200 km from Moscow. During this time, we have not shed a single drop of the blood of our fighters. Now is the moment when blood can be shed. Realizing all the responsibility for the fact that Russian blood will be shed, we are turning our columns around and leaving in the opposite direction, to our field camps, according to the plan.”

Well, this is all a little confusing, it will be interesting to find out if a deal has really been struck and if Prigozhin manages to survive this rebellion.

How did Lukashenko get involved and what has been promised? The only thing that I can think of is that Sergei Shoigu and Valery Gerasimov from the Russian MoD have been, or will be, removed fr office with immediate effect.

Perhaps Putin didn't realise the seriousness of the situation when he made his broadcast this morning. It would be difficult for him to switch from backing the MoD to backing Prigozhin but that's what he appears to have done.

Russia might as well forget Ukraine at this point and get their own shit in order.

He is not going anywhere, as long as he sits on Rostov he is safe, it is the gateway to Ukraine. Funny that a moron propagandists like skiddy have lost their tongues.

Yeah, and Putin certainly wants the head of the snake at this point. The orders are surely out there.

Pootin has no power or forces to execute anything of the sort. Prigozhin has more forces than the entire ruzzian state has in ruzzia.

The criminal case against Prigozhin will be dropped, he will "go to Belarus," the Kremlin said.

Kremlin does not know who Prigozhin will work after he leaves for Belarus.

The authorities will not persecute those Wagner fighters who took part in the rebellion, given their front-line merits.
