Chinas President Xi Jinping warns foreign nations may be on a "collision course", pl-xi-jinping-png

China's President Xi Jinping has warned that foreign forces attempting to bully the nation will "get their heads bashed" during an hour-long address marking the ruling Communist Party's centenary of its founding.

    Key points:
    • President Xi vowed to 'smash' any attempts at Taiwan independence
    • Taiwan responded by calling the Communist Party a dictatorship
    • Chinese Communist Party ranks have swelled to 95.15 million members

Speaking from Tiananmen Square, Mr Xi pledged to build up China's military, committed to the "reunification" of Taiwan and said social stability would be ensured in Hong Kong while protecting China's security and sovereignty.

"The Communist Party of China and the Chinese people solemnly declare to the world that the Chinese people are not only good at destroying an old world, but also good at building a new one," said Mr Xi, China's most powerful leader since Mao Zedong, the founder of the People's Republic.

"Only socialism can save China. And only socialism can develop China."

Beijing has warned Tokyo against damaging bilateral relations after Japan’s Deputy Prime Minister Taro Aso suggested that his country should work with the US to defend Taiwan in case of a Chinese invasion.

“If a major incident happened [in Taiwan], it would not be strange at all if it touches on a situation threatening survival,” Aso said during a speech in Tokyo on Monday. “If that is the case, Japan and the US must defend Taiwan together.”

He claimed a Chinese attack on Taiwan would threaten Japan’s territorial sovereignty, saying that “Okinawa could be next.”

Aso, who also serves as Japan’s finance minister, is one of four cabinet members who serve as members of the country’s National Security Council.

His comments prompted condemnation from Beijing. On Tuesday, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian said at a news conference "WHINE WHINGE WHINE WHINGE SNIVEL WHINGE SNIVEL WHINE WHINE WHINGE WHINE WHINGE SNIVEL WHINGE SNIVEL WHINE WHINE WHINGE WHINE WHINGE SNIVEL WHINGE SNIVEL WHINE WHINE WHINGE WHINE WHINGE SNIVEL WHINGE SNIVEL WHINE WHINE WHINGE WHINE WHINGE SNIVEL WHINGE SNIVEL WHINE WHINE WHINGE WHINE WHINGE SNIVEL WHINGE SNIVEL WHINE " ****

Your quote is a lie/propaganda/as ameristanis say, "misspeak".

His speech contains three references regarding China's defence:

    1. Page 9:

"We will continue to champion cooperation over confrontation, to open up rather than closing our doors, and to focus on mutual benefits instead of zero-sum games. We will oppose hegemony and power politics, and strive to keep the wheels of history rolling toward bright horizons."

    2. Page 9:

"We have never bullied, oppressed, or subjugated the people of any other country, and we never will. By the same token, we will never allow any foreign force to bully, oppress, or subjugate us. Anyone who would attempt to do so will find themselves on a collision course with a great wall of steel forged by over 1.4 billion Chinese people."

    3. Page 10:

"No one should underestimate the resolve, the will, and the ability of the Chinese people to defend their national sovereignty and territorial integrity."

For those interested in facts as opposed to propaganda, the official speech is downloadable from a link here:

You're assuming ameristanis know the difference.

But they still boast, to all that will listen, "I did get a great deal".

The Chinese president has delivered a seemingly ominous warning to foreign enemies, but scholars disagree over how to interpret it.

Harry, the anti-chinese, who is so eager to insult with offensive rants, that he gives all China-sceptics reason to think twice.

I wonder who is more useful to the despots in Beijing ?

Are you a paid man, Harry ?

Apparently, USA trade has been stagnant/dwindling away since 2018. Probably due to the USA illegal sanctions.

The numbers suggest Asia + Africa, 51% and growing every year, is China's largest market.

    Reality fix. 2020 figures.

China Imports from USA 7.9% of its annual imports.

USA exports to China 8.9% of its annual exports.

Its scary how pumped so many people are to go to war with China. This kind of bellicosity is precisely what leads to war.

Like or hate China, why would we want to go to war with them ? Why do people think that we will stop short of war ?

It's mutual. Who is the biggest external creditor of the USA ? China by a long shot.

Could the US function the way it does , spending twice as much money as they have , without its biggest creditor ? Clearly no.
