Ukraine DRONE WARS. First Dogfight Caught on Camera.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=be73Jtbxcho
No clarity as to whose drone won, no explosions or dead bodies, military or civilians.
So, not for some TD members.
It certainly would if the whole system was destroyed. As we have seen previously, NPP's require an electricity supply to manage them safely. If not managed, the possibility of explosions are known. As there are a number of NPP's in Ukraine, it would be disastrous, 5 or 6 Chernobyl's.
One video I saw suggested that Russia may take out the eastern area connections/transmission/pylons systems. Leaving the western systems with means to manage the western located NPP's.
This would have an effect on any 16% military, remaining in, or travelling to, the east.
Should have just posted that all in your drivel thread really.
The Ukrainians won...
Video of a purported clash between two drones belonging to Ukrainian and Russian armed forces has gone viral online.
The clip was shared on the Telegram social media channel of XD Dnipr with the message, "the first air battle recorded on video between Ukrainian and Russian Mavic drones."
"The victory was won by the drone of Serhiy Prytula," the message said, referring to the Ukrainian politician whose charity helps raise funds for equipment that can be used by Kyiv's forces, which include communication devices.
Prytula tweeted the same video, which as of Thursday afternoon had received more than half a million views.
"WW1-style duel. Ukrainian Mavic-drone, which we have delivered to one of the airborne units in Donetsk region, destroys Russian opponent. Amazing!" he wrote.
A Twitter user said in the replies that the site of the clash had been geolocated to the skies above Marinka.
Newsweek reached out to Prytula for comment.
Aviation news outlet Aerotime Hub said the unverified footage was likely to be "both the first example of air-to-air drone combat and the first instance of a small commercial drone engaging another one of its kind during the war in Ukraine."
It said that the Mavic model, which is made by Chinese company DJI, is used by Ukrainian and Russian armed forces as well as volunteer and paramilitary formations in the war.
Prytula's website said that the Mavic models as well as Autel drones with thermal imaging optics are among the devices that his charity purchases for use by Ukrainian forces.
He said that the drone's ability to do aerial reconnaissance has allowed Ukrainian forces "to promptly adjust artillery fire while the occupier constantly changes its location."
It comes as Russia is increasingly relying on drones which are posing an additional problem for Ukraine's air defenses.
Although publicly neutral, Iran is supplying UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) to Russia, the United States said in July, and Russia received its first shipments of Iranian UAVs a month later. These included the "Mohajer-6," "Shahed-129," and "Shahed-191," which can all be armed with munitions designed to be air-dropped.
The Ukrainian military announced and shared photo evidence on September 13 that it had successfully downed an Iranian "Shahed-136" UAV near the frontline Ukrainian town of Kupyansk.
Axios reported last month that Kyiv requested intelligence from Israel on Iranian UAV shipments to Russia.
"Based on the extensive support so far in the war, it should be expected Ukraine is also seeking similar counter UAV assistance from NATO," the intelligence firm Flashpoint said in a blog post on Tuesday.

KHERSON/2130 UTC 13 OCT/ 19 UKR Close Air Support (CAS) missions were carried on in the last 24 hours, with approximately 6 occurring in the Kherson AO. UKR Suppression of Enemy Air Defense (SEAD) missions continue with an additional six Russian SAM complexes reported destroyed.
Ukrainian military officials claimed Wednesday that they took down four Russian helicopters within a span of 18 minutes.
Both the Ministry of Defence and Air Force reported the attacks on social media.
“From 08:40 to 08:58 on October 12, anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force destroyed at least four enemy attack helicopters (probably Ka-52s), which were providing fire support to the ground occupation forces in the southern direction,” the air force wrote on Telegram, according to a translation.
The statement notes that the attacks took place in southern Ukraine but gives no specific location.
According to reports, one of the four choppers crashed on liberated land while three fell behind Russia’s frontlines.
The downing of the helicopters, which are thought to be a two-seat variant of the Soviet-era Ka-50 attack chopper, was partially confirmed by Pro-Russian Telegram accounts, Newsweek found.
The country’s Defence Ministry welcomed news of the successful attack, calling it a “productive morning.”
“Productive morning, Ukrainian style. Today, in just 18 minutes, service members of #UAarmy shot down 4 Russian helicopters that were spoiling beautiful autumn skies in the south of Ukraine,” the post said.
“No place for Alligators here. The local climate is hostile towards them,” it added, referring to the Ka-52’s nickname.
The air force also added that two more Russian helicopters were fired upon, “so there is a high probability that the number of confirmed downed helicopters will increase.”
Before this latest destruction, Ukraine says Russia has lost 268 aircraft since the war began in February, including 235 helicopters.

FRIENDS LIKE THESE: Yesterday the UN, 143 member states voted to condemn Russia's attempted illegal annexations in Ukraine. (They are shown in red.) Only three other countries voted with Russia: North Korea, Syria, and Nicaragua. (Shown in black.)
Ukraine confirmed 6 helicopters downed yesterday. Probably the result of the general now in charge of the Russian forces. He had Syrian cities leveled. He is not used of the victims shooting back. I wonder if he will continue like this.
Edited: Not Ukraine forces, a typo
Russian Kalibr missiles and Geranium-2 UAVs continue to strike military and energy infrastructure facilities throughout Ukraine. So far, some regions remain cut off of electricity supply and the country’s energy system is heavily damaged.
The Air Forces of Ukraine lose the battle against the Russian UAVs. Over the past two days, Ukraine has lost four aircraft. For the already small fleet of Ukrainian aircraft, that is a very tangible damage.
Ukrainian air defense means are also failing to protect the strategically important facilities throughout the country. In another pledge to his European patrons, Zelensky claimed that Ukraine’s air defense needs are provided only by 10%. He supposes that Europe will make more efforts to protect the sky over his country.
Zelensky does not know how to fight, but he knows how to beg. On October 14, Ukrainian Minster of Defense confirmed that Spain has sent four Hawk air defense systems to Kiev.
Losing in the air, the Armed Forces of Ukraine fail to develop any offensive on the front lines.
On the northern borders of the Luhansk People’s Republic, the Ukrainian military continue their attempts to attack Russian military positions along the Zherebets River, in order to storm the towns of Svatovo and Kreminnaya. So far, their attempts have failed. In turn, Russian troops took control of the dominant heights in the gray zone in Chervonopopovka and Peschanoye.
Russians are also coming closer to the town of Bakhmut, where clashes are already ongoing in the industrial area on the eastern outskirts. The Wagner group officially confirmed that the village of Ivangrad located on the southern outskirts of the town came under Russian control.
In the southern Kherson and Zaporozhie regions, there are still no changes on the front lines. The ongoing Ukrainian attacks did not lead to any gains.
Having lost the upper hand in the battles on its territory, the Kiev regime has significantly increased shelling on the Russian border regions and Donbass republics.
Civilian houses in the border villages in the Russian Belgorod and Kursk regions are constantly shelled by Ukrainian artillery. At the same time, Ukrainian forces attempt to break through Russian air defenses and hit residential areas in the city of Belgorod, including with foreign missiles like US-made AGM-88 HARM missiles. Even so, they lose the battle against the Russian air defenses. After more than a hundred of missiles were launched, only minor damage in Russia was reported. Wreckage of a downed Ukrainian missile fell on the roof of a residential building. People were not injured. The shelling also resulted in an explosion of an ammunition depot in the village of Oktyabrsky in the Belgorod region. People were evacuated.
Zelensky Does Not Know How To Fight, But He Knows How To BegSouth Front
Looks like the russki's are closing in on Bakhmut.
Yet he's been leading the fight against arguably the second largest and most powerful military on earth . . . you're quite the legend . . . in your own mind.
In picture form for our three stooges:

Just in case the three stooges are confused . . .
red = condemns and doesn't accepts Russia's annexation
black = accepts Russia's annexation
gray = abstains
Doesn't look like Russia has many friends . . . including China.
It sucks to be Russia . . . and the three stooges . . . the wrong side of history
Another fake news site...

SouthFront (sometimes written South Front) is a multilingual fake news website registered in Russia that, according to the European Union's EU vs Disinfo, publishes news focused on "security issues, foreign policy, military analysis and reports on military hardware" while "loyally relaying whatever suits the Kremlin."[1]
Everything you post is shit.
If it is fake news, then the proof is in the pudding- the Russian advance on Bakhmut will be repulsed. So lets wait and see.
Time will also tell if your dutifully repeated allegations that the Ukrainians will be taking Kherson is true or not.
Without committing on either (time will tell), it seems to me the current attrition rate of Ukrainian forces & equipment is unsustainable.
OK, duly noted for posterity.
An electric substation in the Russian city of Belgorod, near the border, was set on fire by a Ukrainian strike on Friday, regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said.
“An electric substation... caught fire after a strike on Belgorod,” Gladkov said on Telegram, adding that it would take “up to four hours” to activate a backup system and restore power.
He did not specify how many people had lost power in the city of 330,000, which until now has rarely been hit by Ukrainian fire, unlike the surrounding Belgorod region.
Images posted on social media showed the moment of the impact, with the facility in flames.
Gladkov also posted photos of the fire, which was brought under control around 1700 GMT.
“We’re going to try to repair all the damage as soon as possible,” said Gladkov.
He added the other Ukrainian missiles hit a railway line and damaged several electrical lines, disrupting rail traffic for several hours.
On Thursday, a Ukrainian strike destroyed a munitions depot in the Belgorod region.
The same day a rocket gutted the top floor of an apartment building in the city of Belgorod but did not cause any injuries.
Earlier in the week, Ukrainian strikes knocked out power in the town of Shebekino and killed a 74-year-old woman and injured several others in the town.
Last week Russia complained of an increase in artillery and missile strikes on its territory bordering Ukraine.

I think it would be good if someone posted up that quote of Sabang's each and every time he posts on a Ukraine thread.
