Indeed but the same can be said for one that clings to tightly to the mantle of partisanship.

Way to early for me (a registered Republican ) to decide who to vote for but for sure know who not to vote for.

While the term "framing" is understood, "accurately portraying" would be better because the Trumptards would jump on "framing" as in "setting up"...fake news!!! He was framed.

maybe i'm the only one who can remember back to 2008 and 2012 when a black candidate handily won with an electorate that was 70% white.

of course there will be racists who won't vote for anyone who isn't white...guess what, they're already voting for trump
of course there will be misogynists who won't vote for women...guess what, they're already voting for frump
of course there will be homophobes who won't vote for a homosexual...guess what, they're already voting for trump

yes, dems need to nominate a candidate that can win.....but a straight, white male is not the only candidate that can win. in fact, nominating a straight, white male is likely going to keep some voters at home....especially women of color.

Rolling Stone pointed out today Biden is going to lose a lot of votes over his anti marijuana policy.

but...but....either by intent or stupidity, you've mischaracterized my posts.

let me lay it out for you as plainly as i can....i wouldn't vote for biden in the primary...but if he somehow wins the nomination, he would have my full support in the general.

Lose them to who I wonder? In the primaries I suppose so but Trump is certainly not a pro weed guy. Biden is a lunch bucket Democrat, he will lose some progressive votes but gain a lot of blue collar ones.

    good point.
and further illustrates why his VP pick is so important should he get the nomination.....and i think we'll find that many candidates will be open to being VP because biden will almost certainly state beforehand that he'll be a one termer.

he has no core ideological beliefs beyond knee-jerk economic protectionism.....he'd be pro-weed in a heartbeat if the political winds of his base blew that way.

This is the strategy for both Sanders and Biden: Spearhead an agressive campaign that does not shy away from attacking Trump, pick a strong VP as a running mate who will be heir apparent for 2024.

Biden and AOC I reckon. As long as he can keep his hands off her shoulders and avoid sniffing her hair.

You're having a laugh, yeah? She's far too young, far too new, and far to socialist for the Dem's to endorse her.
Beto and Mayor Pete blow her out of the water.
    More likely Harris.

She's the youngest house representative and only four months into the job. If she runs for congress again in her district in the Bronx (safest bet in the world) she's a shoo-in regardless whatever pearls establishment Democratic poobahs clutch. Anyway, she's not running for president, is she?

A Biden/Harris ticket is a good one on paper but neither may survive the primaries. Think much grief ahead for Dems with so many candidates with so different political agendas. Heard $20mil will be needed to come out top dog or dogess. Sad reality is, will boil down to who can get the big donations.
