That lie has been debunked countless times. His father may be wealthy but is by no means rich. Elon Musk came to Canada, then USA on his own. With his first company he could not afford an apartment, he slept in the office. He had nothing then.

Smart as in head of engineering at SpaceX not only in title but actual engineering input. Still, even if less than he used to be in the early startup days of SpaceX.

What's more, the FDA approves it. Very high hurdles to that. Though , unlike Tesla and SpaceX I don't think he is personally involved in the development process.
