^ The UK is certainly dropping fast but it's a long way from a failed state.

If the UK swallowed its pride and asked to rejoin the EU quickly enough then there is a good chance of recovery. It would have to concede some of the privileges it used to enjoy and may be forced to join Schengen, which would probably benefit more than people realise.

The Euro may be a step too far for some but it would strengthen the Euro to a point that it could top the dollar for the dominant currency in world trade, which would be a significant step forward. The exchange rate currently favours the UK joining and for most, including industry, it would be a major benefit.

People using that term often just show their ignorance by doing so.

^ its done in case you haven't noticed

fuk me its funny watching you loons carry on like you have since 2016.

Next Keir the Cvnt - lets see what he does, should be a hoot. My only disappointment is that the jock idiots seem to have snatched victory from the jaws of defeat, i was sorely hoping for their independence and overtures to the Brussels collective on joining the EU - sadly it looks unlikely.

Still with a bit of luck we may see the next Mercan generated banking crisis bubble pop, looking forward to that too

2016 is about the Brexit vote, not an American election.

Often? You've heard of hyperbole, Sybille? No denying you'd know how to spell it . . . let's just hope you never resort to hyperbole again, shocking.

Although the impact of Brexit upon trade and the economy has been deleterious since 2016, the measurable losses to the economy, by this most grievous of self inflicted wounds, since Jan 2020 is now around £300 billions. Taxes that have been increased in order to compensate for the 5% contraction in the economy have amounted to a further £40 billions annually stripped out of the average Joe’s budget. Investment is down by 11% and the £ remains devalued by 20% since Brexit.
And we’re all still waiting to hear what it is we are selling to the world that we couldn’t before Brexit.

But there is a silver lining of sorts, it has destroyed the Conservative party and its successor, the Brexitory Party looks doomed, Farage is sidelined, Cummings is dead, BoJo is terminally fucked, Britain’s Punjabi Boy looks ever more temporary, and local government is effectively Labour/Libdem.

Frankly, no one with a functioning brain wanted Brexit but what is truly pitiful is that rejoining the EU is not even considered as a practical solution to the disaster. And that is the best measure of just how fucking stupid the English truly are.

Not I. The pic was in reference to rejoining the EU. If that ever is something possible I doubt but if it happens humble pie would be the main course.

I have no dog in this fight but from day one the idea of leaving the EU was based on some sort of British pride rather than logic. Sure there were problems but they should have been resolved within the EU. Brexit was like a very nasty divorce leaving the UK and the EU in a near adversarial relationship.

One can reduce it further. Brexit was simply a victory for stupidity, ignorance and delusion, a madness triumphing over intelligence, reason and common-sense.
Whereas you septics came to your senses and got rid of the fat orange rapist pig, the English remain mired in their idiocy paralysed by hubris.
    Fuck ‘em.
