Without doubt, the Maybot is the worst PM of all time. She should be made to live with refugees and asylum seekers for the rest of her life.

Michel Barnier said there were currently only two Brexit options - the PM's deal or no deal.

And he warned that even if MPs decided to take no deal off the table, it would not stop it from happening unless there was "a positive majority for another solution".

They are the current ones the EU have officially. He's just adding a little heat to increase the pressure for fun and games.

Wait and see when the WA gets voted down again. That’s when al the games start. I find it appalling that a handful of precious MPs think they can undermine the government by trying to stop Brexit. Brexit with no deal is May’s fall back position Troy. While she is trying her own version of project fear, using no deal as leverage to persuade MPs to support WA.

They are all guilty of playing silly games with the British Public. Shame on them.

It will be interesting to see the outcome if May is not bluffing. At least she has been consistent throughout. My deal or no deal ring any bells?
Id be laughing if it wasn’t so sad.

So much for U.K. business stalling due to brexit

This has been another great year for the UK digital tech sector which continues to show that this nation is a digital tech powerhouse, attracting more money from venture capital than any other country in Europe,” said Gerard Grech, Tech Nation’s chief executive.

“Businesses that were started here are scaling to become global success stories, as the level of large funding rounds and successful IPOs demonstrates.”
The UK’s lead and significant activity in countries like Sweden, where music streaming business Spotify pulled off a $29bn initial public offering (IPO), meant signs started to emerge of Europe closing the gap on the US in terms of exits. According to the research, The US made $136bn worth of exits in 2018, while European sales and IPOs added up to $107bn.
Tom Blomfield, co-founder and chief executive of UK fintech company Monzo, said the UK has an abundance of “talent, ambition and tech-knowledge” that can help build “truly global businesses”.
According to digital secretary Jeremy Wright, the statistics identify the UK as “Europe’s undisputed tech hub”.
“The success is thanks to our unique combination of talent, location and language, alongside our business friendly environment, unrivalled access to capital and world-leading universities,” he said.
“We want to see the power of technology change people’s lives for the better.”
Despite the trends pointing in favour of the UK's tech sector, it is not foolproof.
Earlier this week, augmented reality firm Blippar, which was founded in London, went into administration following a funding dispute. The company claimed a valuation of £1bn but had to deal with severe financial losses as a result of its expansion plans, making its collapse a significant one in a British tech industry hoping to scale up in size.

One has to ask why so many Brexiteer businessmen are jumping ship. Dyson and Mogg for example. Not very patriotic

Politicians never simply state the obvious, they do it for effect, as you are well aware. Right now the choices are between bad and ugly. The Norway option is an even softer Brexit and one Barnier would no doubt prefer. I think he believes the UK might swing towards this. It doesn't meet many of the Brexit reasons to leave but still better than no brexit at all.

Obviously just my guess at his thinking...

It won't be a handful of MPs that decide though will it. The decision will be made by the majority, if they are allowed to debate and vote on the best way forward. In fact it is a minority government that is forcing two choices that the majority of MPs don't want.

The Dutch government is in talks with more than 250 British-based companies to lure them to the Netherlands after Brexit.

In a sign of growing business anxiety at the gridlock in Westminster, Sony has become the latest company to announce that it is to shift its European base to the Netherlands.

The Dutch investment agency has revealed that it is in talks with a further 250 companies as a result of the “great uncertainty” in Britain.

You mean trying to wag the dog does not work. Believing that the EU will bend or break all the established rules to accomodate british wishes is frankly delusional.

    seeking o'sylum

We were in Bkk over the festive period which was nice and I did appreciate the absence of arsehole Russkies walking in the street clad only in their fucking speedos but the pollution was quite noticeable and in truth my lungs appreciated the air back here in Pattaya.

I assume you are back in your nursing home in Hua Hin for the winter now.
yes, back in good old h-h again, and it truly is delightful. the ease of life here is astounding after the fractiousness of the uk these days, what with data protection rules impinging on every aspect of life, speed cameras everywhere, hate crime fever, the bbc and of course the ridiculous perpetually offended left. best to just keep ones head down and shut up for fear of street justice and or arrest.

the sooner brexit is over and done with the better. its 24/7, non stop, ad nauseam. we're now fucked if we leave, and we're fucked if we stay.

the thai phrase "don tink too mutt" has never been more relevant.

so god bless thailand, its a welcome refuge from reality.

^^ Almost certainly the Maybot. I imagine he is trying to pressure her to listen to Parliament rather than just the ERG.
