Arab social media is full of the filth

Ironically, one of the immediate trade benefits Israel would gain if it ceased dragging it's feet on the brutal occupation and creeping colonisation of Palestine, and granted justice and human rights to the Palestinian people via the one or two state solution, comes off the expertise it has developed in dry climate farming. They do indeed hog all the water though- I believe in occupied Palestine the illegal settlers use six times as much water per head as the native Palestinians. Furthermore they have benefited from enormous foreign aid and investment, via both western governments and charity from the Jewish diaspora (which is massive).

Nonetheless it has been put to good use (it doesn't all go on guns and missiles)- and presents a major opportunity for trade within the Arab world in particular, which is largely dry. This fact was pointed out by none less than the late President Shimon Peres.

Argue all you like about whose blood has a greater right to the land, (and it's not a bunch of Europeans), modern law shows Israel to be in contravention and criminally responsible for the ousting of hundreds of thousands of people if you include (and rightly so) the refusal to allow Palestinian refugees who fled the 1967 war, a right to return to their own homes.

500,000 remained.

A border official drew a penis and wrote 'Long live Palestine' on an Israeli man's passport, it has been claimed.

A picture of Tal Y’aakobi's passport shows a drawing of a penis alongside the words ‘Viva Palestinia’ written alongside it, which translates to ‘Long live Palestine.’

The 25-year-old, from Rosh HaAyin, Israel, claims to have received the unusual stamping from a Chilean border official after crossing the border from Argentina while travelling.

Mr Y’aakobi told The Independent: “From the first moment, the guy at the border was hostile, and threw my passport in front of my face. They then detained us for an hour and a half on purpose until we moved.”

“There was no reason to do this, only because I am Jewish.”

Mr Y’aakobi says he didn’t notice the marking until four or five days later, and thus did not raise the matter with any officials.

After returning to Israel, he had to order a new passport which cost him 1230 shekels (just over £200).

The story was first reported by the Jewish Chronicle after journalist Itay Blumental from the Israeli-based Ynet News tweeted the photo. The incident happened while Mr Y’aakobi was travelling the continent two years ago.
