“I don’t think that’s right,” Jared Bernstein, a senior fellow at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities and former chief economist to Vice President Joseph Biden, told Newsweek. “Exports got a boost from farmers who were selling their agricultural products to our trading partners ahead of the tariffs, and government spending that we put on the national credit card is producing growth as well. But the underlying trend is closer to 2.5 percent.”

So you are comparing an average of eight years to one quarter of a year. Sounds fair.

There are your right wing "facts" at work.

Seems Trump's 4.1 GDP is accurate as one measure that economists look at for a better sense of underlying demand showed strength. Final sales to private domestic purchasers -- which exclude trade, inventories and government outlays -- grew at a 4.3 percent pace, the second- fastest since 2014. Net exports contributed 1.06 percentage point to the pace of growth. Even it they were tariff motivated it is only a small percent. Consumer spending grew 4 percent, more than estimated, while nonresidential business investment climbed at a 7.3 percent clip.

One of the fellows had mentioned that I get my news from Fox and I wanted to correct that as I don't get Fox here.

    Below is CNN

Trump's right: The economy is doing well and he deserves some credit .

    A key paragraph from your article;

Trump seized the chance to declare his policies, including the biggest tax overhaul since the Reagan era, a success, calling the data “amazing” and “very sustainable.” The likelihood is nevertheless that the pace of expansion will slow as the effects of tax cuts fades, companies pull back in the face of foreign tariffs or strong dollar and the Federal Reserve raises interest rates further.
That quarter was a blip and nothing more.

    Here's something I saw somewhere....

May 6th of this year, this is what Rudy had to say about Cohen...basically that he's an honest and honorable lawyer....I sure wish CNN could have had that footage cued up after Rudy called the guy a liar, that would have been hysterically funny.

    https://www.newsweek.com/rudy-giulia...endment-912146

It's the new kind of normal in the world of trump and his gang of liars and cheats.....
"I was a good student. I comprehend very well, OK, better than I think almost anybody," - President Trump comparing his legal knowledge to a Federal judge.

Wait for the tariffs to kick in....

Soft drink giant Coca-Cola is raising its prices in response to the impact of President Trump's recent tariffs.

Coke told the Wall Street Journal the price hike is meant to compensate for increases in delivery costs and metal prices.
It comes after Trump imposed billions of dollars in tariffs on Chinese good earlier this year.
Coke is one of many caught in the cross fire of rising U.S. trade tensions with China, Mexico, Canada and the European Union.
Tariffs on steel and aluminum are having an impact on companies including Whirlpool, GM, Ford and Fiat-Chrysler.
Coca-Cola to raise prices due to tariffs

And let's not forget this growth is being fuelled by tax cuts that expire in 2025 (not for corporations of course), and at the cost of at least 1.5 Trillion to the Debt.

Fuck me, give me a massive overdraft and my economy will look good as well.

Trouble is the trumpanzees have the attention span of a gnat with ADHD, so when it all goes tits up again, they'll probably blame Obama (or even Hillary Clinton, they're that fucking thick).

The chickens are the impeachment stories and CNN is the fox. Of course they don't mean to do anything except report. CNN started running impeachment stories as a regular feature aboute 60 days after Trump took office.

You're not a good listener. CNN anchors routinely steer conversations away from impeachment usually noting that such actions are futile, premature and counterproductive. CNN takes no editorial position on impeachment as you implied. But the morons on Bullshit mountain regularly lie about about CNN which is no surprise given the post-truth world Trump has ushered in.

I hear the CNN panels constantly discuss Impeachment and the subjects are the talking points of CNN.

Maybe we watch different versions of CNN. I see the one on TrueVision

Or maybe we have a different understanding of what constant repetition of Impeachment stories does the the consciousness of the Public.

Pundits offering opinions is not the same as CNN taking an editorial position. Which is what you implied. And you claimed that impeachment was discussed every day which a lie.

A new Media Research Center survey of a full day of CNN coverage found that 92 percent of the news time was spent on Trump stories.

After excluding commercials, teases and promos, our analysts found 13 hours, 27 minutes of actual news coverage, an average of just over 40 minutes per hour. Of that, a whopping 92 percent (12 hours, 19 minutes) was devoted to the Trump presidency, with a mere 68 minutes — a little more than three minutes per hour — devoted to all of the other news of the day," said the report.

CNN obsessed: 92 percent of airtime on Trump, 96 critics to 7 supporters

Outside of the U.S., CNN International is still a major source of (Fake) news, and they represent our Nation to the WORLD very poorly.

You didn't answer my question so I assume you watch CNN from America as the international version is loaded with daily references to impeachment. I leave it on for background and my dog likes it.

I think you mean the Fox News comedy entertainment channel.

It's such an international joke they even dropped it in England because no fucker takes it seriously any more.

    President Donald Trump-usgdp-jpg

Of the last 11 administrations, only six have presided over periods of sustained growth averaging more than 3 percent. And since 2000, the U.S. economy has slowed to an average growth rate below 2 percent.

    I can read can you?

Other news outlets report the news. CNN has changed from news reporting to Trump bashing. I can understand that as it sells internationally. Most Brits and Aussies and Kiwi's that I know are anti US and have always been. Nothing new there. Americans who live in the States or who have not traveled much have no idea how the rest of the world feels about them. They should get around more.

Some people confuse news with Trump bashing. Trump bashing can be true or false if it is negative it is Trump bashing. Let me give you an example. How many news stories were about the length of a President's tie? How many news stories were about a Presidents skin or hair color? Trump gets bashed for his hair and skin color and tie length. All true but only Trump has been singled out to be mocked for these idiosyncrasies. Did anyone take photos of FDR being carried about because he couldn't walk? If Trump was a cripple you can bet CNN would have a story on his disability every day.

Why does Trump Scotch tape his tie? https://edition.cnn.com/videos/polit...s-pkg-erin.cnn

If I got Fox in Thailand I'd watch it but we are confined to CNN international here or BBC and I'm boycotting BBC because of its lack or morals.

Your examples of 'Trump bashing' are things you've just made up.

    You are Fake News.
