I think it is worse. The US has a free press and these people have the ability to chose what they believe and where they get their information. That to me is why this is all the more incredible. In NK the people have no choice be blindly loyal or face prison camps or death.

As the worst human rights violator in the world today the US does not deserve a seat at that table. Their sanctions against several countries are a direct attack on human rights keeping the people of these countries impoverished and in some cases depriving them of basic medications, have a read of that and see what they are doing to the children of Venezuela:

The sanctions imposed are intended to stop Mr. Maduro and his government from selling off debt held by government entities, including accounts receivable, for a pittance of what it is worth and keeping the cash leaving Venezuela’s finances wrecked.
