increasing the tax rate to 22% now for corporations,
anyway, they always manage to pay less than 1% so it's all a bit pointless
In so many ways. US economy is doing fine so why change taxes? Of course we all know it is political bs as usual.
A tax bill which will add a minimum of 1 trillion to the deficit over 10 years with only the usual trickle down to the common man nonsense we've heard forever from the Republicans. There will be no trickle down. Money saved by corporations will not create jobs. The cash will go to stock holders. Suppose will be good for all those unemployed coal miners who own a bunch of stock.
Bush 2 would be proud given how well his tax cuts did for the country.
"Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect,"
This is an old debunked, cheap argument trotted out by the 1%ers every time taxes are discussed. I don't know the actual numbers, but if we assume your numbers are truthful - and that's a large assumption - for a moment, those values are nothing more than the result of a progression taxation system that reflects the gross disparity in wealth and income that exists in America today. If the super rich were not so rich and the poor weren't so poor, we wouldn't even be talking about this, right? Btw, you do realize that 3 Americans are worth more than half of the US population, which is 170 million people?
Matt Taibbi explains the redistribution of wealth that occured in 2008 in his book Griftopia. The same powers still control, buy, and influence the GOP so it is no surprise that this tax bill went through. All this politics is more of a ruse to cover all that up unfortunately. The ideals the USA were founded on are long gone.

For some entertainment, go to Senator Rob Portman's FaceBook page and look at all the comments to his bragging about being one of the authors of the tax bill. Folks are not holding back their distain!

Donald Trump: Former aides reveal US President's McDonald's habits,
screaming fits in memoir
United States President Donald Trump's McDonald's binge habits and screaming fits at top aides have been revealed in a new book
co-written by his former campaign manager and another top aide.
In a memoir titled Let Trump Be Trump, Corey Lewandowski and David Bossie write that Mr Trump's "appetite seems to know no bounds when it
comes to McDonald's", with his dinner order consisting of "two Big Macs, two Fillet-O-Fish, and a chocolate malted" milkshake.
According to The Washington Post, which obtained an advanced copy of the book, the authors detail what it was like to work on Mr Trump's campaign,
which was dominated by his fast-food diet.
"On Trump Force One there were four major food groups: McDonald's, Kentucky Fried Chicken, pizza and Diet Coke," the authors write.

^This is very encouraging. At his age, with that diet, one can hope.....
jesus, he could BK instead, or Wendys'
at least those are better prepared,
TBH, I'd have trouble getting through 1/2 a Big Mac.
A Cheese Burger (from Hungry Jacks (Burger King), they have a nicer sauce) but more, add chips or a larger Burger,
just makes me feel stuffed and queezy, thus making the intake of Beer unenjoyable ... and we can't have that!
But "two Big Macs, two Fillet-O-Fish, and a chocolate malted" milkshake" ...
Would make Elvis jealous.
Mac burgers are just bread and filler. Better off with Wendy's or In~n~Out Burger if you,re west coast.
indeed, always eat a burger AFTER you are pissed
no point otherwise,
Wendys has always been the best for me, didn't see anything better and cheaper since
Supreme court backs Trumps travel ban. More winning for The Don.
The man is just a goose.
So, Orange Wanker's ego-based commission to try to show he beat Hilary in the popular vote is having problems and acting surreptitiously.
