That is a demographic reality that many of the simpletons have not yet come to terms with. Their Oligarch propaganda puppet masters have complete control of them at this point. The reality is that the right in the US is dying that is why they are obsessed with a border wall and voter suppression. The wall is a red herring and goes back to the Jim Crow laws.

Simpletons like slick do not understand their own history. He would rather post up pictures and memes. That is the mentality of most right wing blue collar workers in the south. They are voting outside of their own best interests time and again but the oligarchs like slave owners in the past were quick to remind them that they are for some reason better then the blacks.

It is all about Jim Crow laws. If you will google that it will tell you the reality in the US.

the trump bots have been banging the drums about the stock market gains during trump's first six months...a risky decision, i would think, but it's their decision.

anyway, the broader market's gone up nearly 9% since trump's inauguration...pretty impressive.

it went up more than 22% during obama's first six months.

and for those who seem to think that the democrats are in trouble going forward, i would remind you that not only did clinton win the popular vote by more than 3,000,000 votes, but she only lost wisconsin, michigan and pennsylvania by a TOTAL of only ~77,000 votes....which swung the electoral college to trump.

what percentage of the 77,000 people in those three states would change their vote if they could? what percentage of people who stayed home on election day would vote for clinton if they could turn back the clock? you're fooling yourself if you think trump would win again if these people could go back and change what they did on election day.

yeah, i know...they can't. but the point is that a lot of these people are going to remember the consequences of their actions the next time around. republicans would do well to realize that trump benefited from a perfect storm and won the electoral college by the slimmest of percentages in these three states.

and there are plenty of blue dog candidates who are scaring the sh1t out of vulnerable GOP reps in swing states going into 2018.

^ perfect storm....trump rallied the disaffected racists and know-nothings to the polls, and democrats put up a candidate that a lot of people really seem to dislike.

college educated, swing state voters won't let this mess happen again....and the dems will put up a more likable candidate in 2020.

Trump, GOP senators champion bill to cut legal immigration levels

President Trump joined two Republican senators on Wednesday to champion legislation that would overhaul legal immigration in America -- launching a merit-based system that would significantly cut admissions over the next decade.

Speaking at the White House, the president called it “the most significant reform to our immigration system in a half century.”

“As a candidate, I campaigned on creating a merit-based immigration system that protects U.S. workers and taxpayers, and that is why we are here today,” Trump said.

He was joined by Georgia Sen. David Perdue and Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton, the Republicans who first introduced the Reforming American Immigration for a Strong Economy, or the RAISE Act, in February. They have said the legislation aims to cut legal immigration in half from 1 million to 500,000 a year.

Trump, Perdue and Cotton argued on Tuesday that low-skilled and unskilled immigration into the United States has depressed wages.

According to a fact sheet released to reporters, the new system would favor immigrants who are educated, speak English and have high-paying job offers. It would also reduce low-skilled and unskilled labor immigration.

It would prioritize immediate family members of United States residents, including spouses and young children. But it would end prioritization for extended family members and adult children of residents.

The legislation also eliminates the Diversity Visa lottery system and limits permanent resident status for refugees to 50,000 a year.

The White House said most of the 1 million immigrants who are accepted into the United States for legal permanent residency every year are low or unskilled workers.

The administration also said 50 percent of immigrant households receive welfare benefits, as opposed to 30 percent of native households in the country.

Trump has made cracking down on illegal immigration a hallmark of his administration and has tried to slash federal grants for cities that refuse to comply with federal efforts to detain and deport those living in the country illegally.

His involvement will put him at the center of efforts to make changes to the legal immigration system.

Trump's appearance was aimed at bringing attention to the bill, which has been largely ignored in the Senate, with no other lawmaker signing on as a co-sponsor. GOP leaders have showed no inclination to vote on immigration this year.

Some immigrant advocates have criticized the proposal, saying that slashing legal immigration would hurt industries like agriculture and harm the economy.

"Our system is broken, but the response should be to modernize it, not take a sledgehammer to it," said Jeremy Robbins, executive director of New American Economy, a group of business leaders, mayors and others backed by former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg that advocates for comprehensive immigration reform.
The Associated Press contributed to this report.

    Heres another racist one

Drug Cartels Fuming at New U.S. Policy Screening 100% of Mexican Cargo Trucks

In a major shift from lax Obama-era regulations, the Trump administration is finally allowing customs officers to screen all cargo trucks entering the U.S. from Mexico and sources on both sides of the border tell Judicial Watch Mexican drug cartels are fuming. U.S. Customs and Border Protection is using X-ray technology and other non-intrusive tools to screen 100% of cargo trucks crossing the southern border after eight years of sporadic or random screening permitted under the Obama administration.

“We felt like we were the welcoming committee and not like we were guarding our borders,” said veteran U.S. Customs agent Patricia Cramer, who also serves as president of the Arizona chapter of the agency’s employee union. “The order was to facilitate traffic, not to stop any illegal drugs from entering the country,” Cramer added. “We want to enforce the law. That’s what we signed up for.” Cramer, a canine handler stationed at the Nogales port of entry in Arizona, said illicit drugs are pouring in through the southern border, especially massive quantities of fentanyl, an opioid painkiller that the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) says is more potent than morphine.

Approximately 471,000 trucks pass through the U.S-Mexico border monthly, according to figures published by the U.S. Department of Transportation. The busiest port of entry is in Laredo, Texas where 167,553 trucks enter the U.S. from Mexico monthly, followed by Otay Mesa in California (76,953), El Paso, Texas (58,913), Hidalgo, Texas (45,355) and Nogales with 29,439. Other busy ports include East Calexico, California (29,173), Brownsville, Texas (16,140) and Eagle Pass, Texas (12,952). Trucks bring in everything from auto parts to appliances, produce and livestock. In fact, a veteran Homeland Security official told Judicial Watch that cattle trucks passed without inspection during the Obama administration because Mexican farmers complained that the security screenings frightened their cows. “Our guys were livid that we were not allowed to check cattle,” the federal official said.

Frontline customs agents stationed along the southern border confirm that trucks containing “legitimate” goods are often used by sophisticated drug cartels to move cargo north. This is hardly surprising since most illegal drugs in the United States come from Mexico, according to the DEA, and Mexican traffickers remain the greatest threat to the United States. They’re classified as Transitional Criminal Organizations (TCOs) by the government and for years they’ve smuggled in enormous quantities of heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine and marijuana. Last year the Congressional Research Service (CRS), the nonpartisan agency that provides Congress with policy and legal analysis, published a disturbing report outlining how Mexican cartels move record quantities of drugs into the U.S. Because cartels move the drugs through the Southwest border, western states have become part of what’s known as the “heroin transit zone,” according to the CRS.

Federal law enforcement sources tell Judicial Watch Mexican cartels operate like efficient businesses that resort to “other more treacherous routes” when necessary, but driving through a port of entry in a cargo truck is a preferred method of moving drugs. Cartels station shifts of spotters with binoculars in Mexican hills near border checkpoints to determine the level of security screenings. “They know if we’re on the job, the level of screening that we’re conducting,” Cramer said. “The cartels watch us all the time.” Nogales is a favorite for cartel spotters because the U.S. checkpoint sits in a valley surrounded by hills on the Mexican side, where unobstructed views facilitate surveillance. “They see everything,” Cramer said. For years the cartel spotters saw that much of the cargo passing through the checkpoint was waved through, according to agents contacted by Judicial Watch.

GOP Pulls in $75M in Trump's First 6 Months, Double Obama's First 6 Months

The Republican National Committee is touting some big fundraising numbers bolstered by President Trump's appeal with his base, including small donors.

The $75 million-plus brought in by the party in the first six months of this year is more than double the amount that Democrats raised during Barack Obama's first six months, ABC reported.

"Our base loves the president," RNC chair Ronna Romney McDaniel said this morning.

McDaniel told Bill Hemmer that Republican voters want Congress to support the president's agenda and voters backed Trump because they believed he would fight for them.

She said Trump's persistence on replacing ObamaCare is an example of Trump showing that he'll fight for those who support him.

"Why should Washington give up on health care relief when Americans are still hurting," she asked.

McDaniel said Trump is fulfilling what he promised on jobs and the economy. But she said Republicans will have a tough time making the case to voters if Congress cannot pass Trump's agenda items.

Trump attended a fundraiser in late June near the White House at the Trump International Hotel, raking in $10 million for his re-election coffers and GOP candidates.

Earlier this week, Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) called for conservatives to push back harder against the president and fight for conservative principles, especially free trade.
