I also lost my plan and doctor.

My premium tripled.

And I lost coverage when I bought more.

Obamacare platinum would cost me at least $15,000/YEAR in policy alone.

I was paying $300/month.

OK, here's the thing with all this health care malarkey for me (and tax(es) in general really). Sure it's a very, very complicated issue and sure there's really no easy solution or magic bullet for it but even then surely the only thing the GOP had to do to not completely fuck it up was to it even have the perception of being a tax-break for the wealthy (much less it actually being one).

What the fuck is it with them and tax breaks for the wealthy anyway. Surely by now they realise that the majority of Americans aren't wealthy (or at least not enough to qualify) and this sort of shit won't wash to well. Trickle-down is a busted flush, a proven myth, but they just keep on keeping on trying it.

The legislation, as it stands, has only between a 16-26% positive approval rating in various polls. A Fox News poll being the one on the high end. So it is massively unpopular.
The only real solution for America's health care problems are to expand Medicare and create the option of some kind of single payer system ALONG WITH government intervention in controlling the prices of prescription drugs.
