And how did you characterize the Wall a few weeks ago?
The various interpretations of what Trumpies wall might be were explained to you, but as usual you did not understand because you are so busy calling people childish names or liars. Do you think all walls are the same..or that building a wall always means the same thing? There was no wall to characterize a few weeks ago, and we still don't know exactly what form it will take, ...get it?

Why don't you just wait and see. Imagine all the things you can complain about....type of material used, gender equality on construction teams, racial diversity on design team...the funding alone should keep you going for months.

On the list of important things to get done, it's probably well down the list, but as predicted you will want to harp on about it till the cows come home.

As people are wont to do when promises aren't kept that were a cornerstone of little dick's election.

He can state intent....but let's face it, it's just intent.
Well what else would he do in an election campaign? Of course it's intent.

NAFTA is a trade agreement....with an opting out clause. Something like 30 days notice if I remember. Anyway he said that it would be re-opened/re-negotiated and it will be; quite soon I would expect. It may well be amended and improved in some areas but not likely to be cancelled.

The main concern for Trump and company is the imbalance in the arrangements with Mexico. Canada is not really a problem because the trade is well balanced and the playing field is about as level as you can get. Not so with the folks to the South.

Well, this morning you were explaining to us that it was plugging gaps in an existing wall. A smallish project. You even posted pics.
He's started us on the journey of fixing a problem that doesn't exist. Last year, more Mexicans returned to their homeland than crossed the borders illegally into the US. The Mexican economy is booming and growing faster than the US economy. Maybe we should help Mexico through more economic cooperation so that Mexicans don't want to join in our carnage.

Apparently, some people think his "intent" is instantly translating into action. That's going to be a wake up call for Trump I think.

NAFTA is an Congressional agreement which the president can fuck with and not a treaty.

Here's a question...if NAFTA is so good for Mexicans and the Mexican economy, why do Mexicans still seek to cross the border looking for employment?

It's obviously not to do with getting a job as Mexico has low unemployment, so I guess higher wages and better life expectancy in the US and being on the right side of the wall!!!!

So I'd guess illegal immigration has gone down from years in the past. After all, what you say does seem reasonable.

You still don't get it, do you! (likely you never will)

Trump has beaten the media at their own game, and continues to so at every turn.

All the while The Donald is taking the reality game show of President to an entirely new level.

Most of the liberal media cannot or simply will not see it.
So trapped they are in their cocoons of sanctamonious progressive globalism.

You really should be enjoying this rather remarkable and unique monent in history unfold.
(I certainly am enjoying every moment)

When you tire of being stuck on stupid, and decide to think for yourself.
Please do so. It is entirely up to you.

Are most illegal immigrants actually Mexicans though? I thought every Tom, Dick and Harry just used Mexico as a crossing point. Can't Mexicans just cross legally at a border post?

Do you really think that there's any context where the job of being president is a "game"?

My personal view of this wall thing is that it's not really a great idea anyway, and it probably would not be that effective in preventing people and/or drug smuggling. It does make it harder, but that's all.

As far as helping Mexico.....yes their economy has been doing quite well,(relatively speaking)...and why is that?....because your dear leaders have allowed it to prosper at the expense of their domestic economy.....We can expect that the drug cartels have been doing especially well. Expect Trump to realign the trade deal and make it less advantageous to move everything south of the border. It does not have to cut off trade, just make it more equitable. Nobody want's to kill off poor old Mexico.

If people are being smuggled into the US they don't even know who or how many.... they only know about the ones they catch, so you can make up any numbers you like...or just ignore that it's happening....that's quite a popular left wing liberal position and like so many of their positions; more like the way they would like things to be, rather than the way things are.

In his fifth day as president of the United States, Donald Trump signed an executive order titled "Enhancing Public Safety in the Interior of the United States." The order seeks to criminalize sanctuary cities — cities that shelter undocumented immigrants and oftentimes don't inquire about one's immigration status — by cutting off their federal funds as well as to "ensure that aliens ordered removed ... are promptly removed." Also, the order states that the government will "support victims, and the families of victims, of crimes committed by removable aliens."

To "better inform the public regarding the public safety threats associated with sanctuary jurisdictions," Trump ordered that a weekly list of "criminal actions committed by aliens" and the sanctuary cities that house them be released to the public.
