In my life, I've been quite rich and I've been quite poor. It doesn't matter as much as you might think- it's still the same old you. I think that 'Money' as the ultimate goal is indeed a barren and pointless wasteland.

Maybe a good idea , cos then I had to survive on Strike pay(which I did not vote for ) for two months keeping a wife and two young kids , and BTW its quite plain that you simply refuse to discuss the merits of the two links and the video I posted cos quite evidently you know a lot more , as you have a masters degree in economics I take it? ,and know far better than the panel of economic experts in my post 58 which thus far you have chosen to ignore

    [QUOTE="piwanoi"] who's gonna pay for it? .

by the time all this stuff takes off fiat money will be a thing of days past.
no more cash which is what these muthers have dreams about
    the controlling mechanism tightens.
don't many associate money with freedom.
I note Dapper has mentioned robots don't get paid.
Manufacturers will lease out robots, update them when necessary and companies pay a fee.
So i guess taxes will take on a whole new perspective to pay for our leisure etc.
    Conscription may make a comeback.
Another world where we have even less control over our own lives.
The old world will disappear and a communist system replacing it.

I prolly won't be here to see it,, thank fook.

    groggy.

we'd have to consult Buddha on this,, not Buddhism.

Only when Self , when there is no shadow of Self,, when thought is not operating,,
only then Truth may come. You certainly cannot go to it. YOU being the PAST.

Again i'm not talking about thought in action,, that is necessary but when paying Attention thought will eventually become redundant.

    Still groggy.

Well it certainly makes life more comfortable, less stressful and gives us freedom of choice.

I'm certainly not advocating poverty- that's a real grind! But I reckon the best years of your life spent as a dollar slave is by no means ideal, not even close. Enough is enough- who needs more? Many people just can't get off the mouse wheel, for them enough is never enough.

I don't envy them, and personally live quite well, albeit modestly and (I think) sustainably off my own means. I don't miss the 9 to 5. I can assure you it was quite different when I lived the HK high life, but I wouldn't go back.

The way I see most people ain't a clue just what poverty is , I was born in 1941 and when the war finished we knew what poverty was all right , I left school aged 15 and went to work in one of those dark satanic mills you read about for 5 pounds two and eight pence a week 7 30 till 5 30 out of that I have just one pound spending money , low paid work carried on till I was about 24 , then having a wife and two young kid I went self employed and built a nice little earner from SFA through hard work 7 days a week , no one ever give me fuck all I earned every penny , the value of money is meaningless ,that is until you ain't got any , then it strikes home just how important to ones life money really is , I never made money my god , but as Cujo rightly says you need it for the better things in life and if any one is prepared to work as I did 7 days a week 12 hours a day to get it , the very best of luck to them .

I haven't watched your links because I was posting from my phone on a shitty connection and planned to watch them from my computer later.

Although it doesn't really matter what is on your video, my point is still valid and you've been watching too many movies.

I was actually referring to the link in my post #58 reported by the Worlds leading economic experts which you still refuse to read as you know far better ,and I see no reason to carry on this conversation with a person like you so full of his own perceived super intelligence .

    Well,

That's fair enough but most of us need to work a fair amount of our lives to maintain a decent life style when a bit older.

I'm sure you're not suggesting surviving on a shitty pension rotting away in some isolated village in Northern Thailand is considered to be a great way to live.

I'm sure some guys who live like that will say it's simply sensational living on the bones of their arse but my self says a massive Fuk That.

If by that you mean poverty, of course not- it's not a great way to live anywhere in the world. Just saw a documentary on Vice News about Colombians living in the sewers of Bogota, constantly dodging death squads etc- now that's shitty! But I do like living in an isolated village in north eastern Thailand, although in fairness I will be cabbing it in to Ubon late this arvo to enjoy my wifes luvly lamb shank. I could think of way shittier things.

    That's what I'm sayin innit,

You have a few buks in your pocket to make your village life comfortable and will now enjoy a comfortable taxi ride in Ubon for a legs up.

That's what its all about, not looking at every baht like it could be your last one.

    Enjoy that roast.

To be fair Tel I don't think that Sabang subscribes to that sort of Lifestyle at all there's only one member who could fit that bill of fare , and that would be of course the veritable Mao Zedong of Surin , the one and only Jeff , who thinks that to garner a nice few quid along life's way is some how a crime against humanity

    Yes well,

Every person on this forum knows Jeff is a complete fuk wit, a waste of space and at the same time stealing Thailand oxygen.

That's why everyone tells Jeff to Fuk Off.
