As a matter of fact, I am watching Deutsche Welle in English and Deutsch (state propaganda TV paid by German Bundestag) as well as RT (among others). How do you think that e.g. FOX News had reported about Wall Street Occupy?

Protesters and police clash as G7 leaders prepare to discuss corruption and trade

Several people taken to hospital after scuffles in German town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen as demonstrators, some throwing bottles, face off with riot police

Protesters have clashed with police in the German resort town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen as G7 leaders prepared for wide-ranging talks on subjects from Fifa corruption to controversial free trade agreements.

Police responded with pepper spray when a group of marchers tried to break through their cordon. Scuffles broke out as the demonstrators, some throwing bottles, faced off with riot police in a narrow lane of Alpine houses on the edge of the town.

Occasional clashes followed as the demonstrators snaked their way back through the town. One paramedic said several protesters had been taken to hospital and he was aware of around 30 people with minor injuries.
A police spokeswoman could not give any official figures on casualties nor say whether there had been any arrests.

The crowd was estimated by police at 3,500-4,000 while organisers put it at 7,500. Police vastly outnumbered the marchers in the picturesque former Winter Olympics venue at the foot of Germany’s highest mountain, the Zugspitze.

Good for you. Germany however is a democratic country and not one dictator defines what is shown on telly. Bundestag consists of many parties with very different views as well, just to let you know, and as far as I recall CDU, SPD and CSU are in government but your loved Left and Greens are in opposision,

As for FOX News, I watch them only occasionally in shower but recall/think they bashed the on-the-dole anarchists of "Occupy" quite badly. In my opinion those anarchists should have been tear gassed way earlier to let people do their work normally.

He is promoting a book he wrote about corruption in publishing. Not that he is totally wrong.

How does facilitating a nuclear war help the U.S. aristocracy? That is extremely illogical.

This will have him squealing like a schoolgirl....

A report in the New York Times claims the US is planning to transfer heavy military equipment to the Baltic states and East European nations.

If true it would be the first time since the Cold War that the US has stationed weapons in the new NATO countries that were once allied with Moscow.

The article quotes unnamed officials claiming the Pentagon is poised to send tanks, armoured vehicles and other heavy weaponry sufficient for a force of around 5000 troops.

The paper says the countries would include the three Baltic states as well as Poland, Romania, Bulgaria and possibly Hungary.

An official is quoted as saying the the move is to reassure US NATO allies who are uneasy about Russian intervention in Ukraine, as well as to deter further aggression.

In a statement a Pentagon spokesman said no decision has yet been taken on the storage of military equipment.

But the paper claimed the proposal is expected to be approved by the US Defence Secretary Ash Carter before a NATO defence ministers’ meeging in Brussels later this month.

I don't think getting him to hand back Crimea is the goal.

It is making sure he regrets politically and financially his tactically agressive approach to the affair which is the geo-politically worthwhile exercise.

I say with some confidence that ain't gonna happen. Those poor, oppressed Crimean gulag dwellers must be soo jealous of those over the border.

Over the last 15 months Ukrainians have paid for Washington’s overthrow of their elected government in deaths, dismemberment of their country, and broken economic and political relationships with Russia that cost Ukraine its subsidized energy. Now Ukrainians are losing their pensions and traditional support payments. The Ukrainian population is headed for the graveyard.

On June 1 the TASS news agency reported that Ukraine has stopped payments to pensioners, World War II veterans, people with disabilities, and victims of Chernobyl. According to the report, Kiev has also “eliminated transport, healthcare, utilities and financial benefits for former prisoners of Nazi concentration camps and recipients of some Soviet-era orders and titles. Compensations to families with children living in the areas contaminated by radiation from the Chernobyl accident will be no longer paid either. Ukraine’s parliamentary opposition believes that the Prosecutor General’s Office should launch an investigation against Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk who actively promoted the law on the abolition of privileges.”

Notice that this is a yank of the blanket from under the elderly in Ukraine. “Useless eaters,” they are assigned to the trash can. How do the deceived Maiden student protesters feel now that they are culpable in the destruction of their grandparents’ support systems? Do these gullible fools still believe in the Washington-orchestrated Maiden Revolution? The crimes in which these stupid students are complicit are horrific.

Crimea returning to the Ukrainian fold is about as likely as Slovenia returning to a Yugoslav federation.

Looking at the recent announcements regarding the possible stationing of NATO weapons in eastern Europe one wonders who in the west Putin and Lavrov would consider talking too.

The EU countries are US stooges, the US has nobody of authority who isn't a liar.

Any of the military leaders can say all they want as it's the politicians who carry the can.

The worsening economic climate in the western countries are the reasons for this farce.

Yes that, and including Russian provocation in airspace in europe that started before crimea thing. Putin wants to show Russia is a superpower, perhaps only to domestic audience.
