    "
The third convoy of Russian humanitarian aid for eastern Ukraine has arrived in the war-torn city of Donetsk. Earlier, Kiev and self-defense forces signed a memorandum aimed at effectively halting all fighting in eastern Ukraine after talks in Minsk. Is the war over? Both sides in the Ukraine conflict signed a treaty banning military action
The convoy of around 200 vehicles is carrying some 2,000 tons of cereals, canned food, generators, medicine, warm clothes, and bottled water.
Russian authorities said they had offered to allow the Ukrainian border guards to check the vehicles on the border on several occasions, but the guards declined without citing any particular reason.
The trucks have started unloading the aid in two of the city’s storehouses.
“We need humanitarian aid badly as there is almost no food in the shops. People aren’t receiving their pensions. Children are hungry. It’s high time,” a local resident, Vitaly, told RT.
According to another resident, people didn’t sleep last night as they waited for humanitarian aid.
“People are suffering now. We don’t have any products. Thank you, Russia,” he added.
After unloading humanitarian aid the trucks returned to Russia. The first column has already crossed the Russian border."

    3 -1 to Russia.

War over? Both sides in Ukraine conflict sign treaty banning military action ? RT News

    "
Kiev and self-defense forces signed a memorandum aimed at effectively halting all fighting in eastern Ukraine after talks in Minsk. It creates a buffer zone, demands a pullback of troops and mercenaries, and bans military aviation flybys over the area.

The signed memorandum consists of nine points, former Ukrainian president Leonid Kuchma told journalists following peace talks in Minsk, Belarus. “The first [point] is to stop the use of weapons by both sides; the second is to stop all military and militia units in their positions as of September 19. The third is to ban the use of all types of weapons and offensive action,” former Ukrainian president Leonid Kuchma, who represents Ukraine at the talks, told journalists.
The agreement outlines a buffer zone of 30km free from heavy weapons and bans all military aircraft from flying over the rebel-controlled part of eastern Ukrainian territory. An exception is being made for the surveillance drones used by the OSCE to monitor the situation, Kuchma said.
Kiev said it would start the pull-back of heavy weapons under the agreement starting on Saturday."

Let's wait for the document and also see if it is adhered to.

As a matter of fact, they have. Some 100 years ago. Isn't Mexico "a neighbouring country"? But wasn't it an agression from Mexico side? As usually.

Anyway, that job had to be fast hurried up in order to transfer gen. Pershing with his boys quickly to Europe mid 1917, before the European finished their war by themselves.

Garry Kasparov: Putin is 'the most dangerous man' in the world and a bigger threat to the US than the Islamic State

Arguably the world's best chess player ever, Garry Kasparov is on a new mission.
He hopes to convince the world that the biggest threat to global unrest is not the Islamic State, al-Qaida or North Korea.
Instead it is Vladimir Putin, Russia's president from 2000 to 2008 and then again from 2012 to today.

In an interview with Yahoo News and Finance Anchor Bianna Golodryga, Kasparov outlined his reasons for believing that Putin should be what keeps the world up at night. He chided President Barack Obama for being too late in addressing Putin's aggression in Ukraine — ultimately annexing Crimea.
And while he views the president's speech at the United Nations — calling Russia's invasion into Ukraine and ideology of "might makes right" backward — he still believes that actions speak louder than words.

Kasparov has extremely harsh words for what he views as European indifference to Putin's actions, and he compares the world's complacency with the lead-up to World War II.
Kasparov calls the Islamic State militant group (also known as ISIL and ISIS) a diversion for the world to focus on. He finds it hypocritical that the U.S. and other Western allies have agreed to supply Syrian rebels opposed to IS, while refusing Ukraine's similar request.
Regarding the current sanctions imposed on Russia, Kasparov believes that at some point they will hurt not only the Russian economy, but also Putin and his inner circle.
However, for that to happen, he believes the sanctions will have to be in place through at least March 2015.

He adds that Putin will use Russia's vast supply of natural gas as leverage ahead of what he calls the "upcoming cold winter," threatening to shut down supplies to Europe and other former Soviet republics and satellite nations.
Kasparov fears that the threat will be enough to persuade an easing of sanctions. He also believes Putin is telling his inner circle of Russia's richest and most powerful business leaders, who are facing the ramifications of stiff sanctions that the western governments "will blink. As before, they will capitulate. We'll get what we need." Kasparov believes that Putin is calling the world's bluff. "He is playing poker while everyone else is playing chess."

Kasparov, who once expressed interest in running in the 2008 presidential race and who has in recent years become an anti-Putin activist, avoided the question of whether or not he would seek public office.
Instead his response was a sobering one: "We should forget about power in Russia changing hands throughout the election process. I'm afraid it will be not a very lawful process and it may eventually end up with the collapse of the country."
His political views have affected his professional career and aspirations.
Just last month Kasparov lost his bid for the presidency of the World Chess Federation, to Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, a controversial billionaire who had ties to Saddam Hussein, Moammar Gadhafi and Bashar Assad.
Ilyumzhinov also believes that not only was the game invented by aliens, but that he too was abducted by alien years ago. "Of course it was," Kasparov answered when asked if the election was rigged.

As for the future, Kasparov sees dark days ahead as long as Putin is in office.
He believes that the 2018 World Cup, now currently set to take place in Russia, should be relocated to another country. But that is down the line, Kasparov says, adding that he is currently focused on the upcoming "cold winter."

Indeed. Bill passed "unanimously" in congress which made obomba very happy. It was unanimous as well. 3 members of congress were there, 2 were not happy about it, and then after a little break, all 3 unanimously passed the bill. A victory for Democracy!

How dangerous is Putin? Better question is how much more dangerous can Obama get?

The real danger is a half-baked community agitator who is now cuddling up to the Castro brothers.

Eastern Ukraine: humanitarian disaster looms as food aid blocked by pro-Kiev battalions

"‘Using starvation of civilians as a method of warfare is a war crime’ - Denis Krivosheev
Pro-Kiev volunteer battalions are increasingly blocking humanitarian aid into eastern Ukraine in a move which will exacerbate a pending humanitarian crisis in the run up to Christmas and New Year, said Amnesty International today (24 December).

Amnesty has received information that the pro-Kiev battalions, which include the Dnipro-1 and the Aidar battalions, have blocked aid entering territories controlled by the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics. "

    Its a disgrace.

Does someone have the death toll information for numbers of people killed due to obomas v putin policies and actions? I would think that obomba has that lead in that chart.

Actually it is rather interesting all these attacks on Russia. In their haste to cripple Russia with the full on assault on their currency as well as on the other front by artificially manipulating the oil price, they made a bit of a mistake. The ruble value of oil exports has only decreased minimally and with the surge in the ruble, they are making some good hay. Oil prioce to start climbing upwards one would assume now to a comfortable 90-100 again.

All the Americans had to do was attack just one, but in attacking both the currency and the oil price, it cancelled each other out in many regards. What next? Blow another plane out of the sky and blame the russians?

We can righteously blame the failed community rabble-rouser for Putin's aggressive stance. If Obama wasn't so piss-weak, continuing to bow down before every 3rd world tyrant, Putin might be more easily dealt with.

Anyway, all these John Kerry quotes are doing wonders for me, personally. I've not laughed so hard in a long time, and everytime I feel a little glum I search him out on the mainstream news channels and feel better straight away.

So easy for the worlds sheep to swallow the hypercritical rhetoric that is pumped out all the time. In not recognising Crimea as being part of Russia now, even though the people their want to be part of Russia, I hope that shortly Northern Ireland will no longer be recognised and handed back to the Irish. The Falkands islands as well. Apparently, what the people that live there want is not important these days. I wonder when Israel will be handed back to Palestine. Problem is though, that true to their words, the west does not recognise Palestine either. Only way to resolve this is to carve it up again and hand most of it back to the Turks. Yes, that's what needs to happen.
Sounds about right to me i agree , maybe not the Turk bit Oterman empire is long gone.
