"MOSCOW, November 2. /TASS/. Russia has not changed its plans to supply gas to Europe after November 8, once its own gas storage facilities are filled, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Tuesday.

When asked if Moscow plans to increase gas supplies to Europe after November 8, he said:

"Russia complies with all obligations [on gas supplies], fulfills precisely and even in excess of these obligations. The trend set by Russian President [Vladimir Putin] in this regard remains in effect, of course." Peskov stressed that this is exactly what "the President was talking about."

In late October, Putin instructed Gazprom to increase supplies to the company's storage facilities in Europe, once the gas giant had completed a fuel injection into underground storage facilities in Russia.

According to the Russian President, this will secure the possibility for Gazprom to meet its contractual obligations and create a more favorable situation on the EU energy market in general.

The company’s CEO Alexey Miller, assured the President that Gazprom will fulfill this order."

Top Russian Spy’s Son Dead After ‘Fall’ From Embassy in Berlin

Either Russians are incredibly clumsy or they should stay away from open upper-floor windows.


Another Russian—this time a diplomat in Berlin—was found in a heap on the sidewalk below the Russian embassy last month, dead after an apparent fall, Der Spiegel reports.


The 35-year-old man, named by Bellingcat as the son of the deputy director of FSB’s Second Service and the head of the FSB’s Directorate for Protection of Constitutional Order, Gen. Alexey Zhalo, was reportedly serving as a secretary at the embassy. He is also reported to have worked as the third secretary of Russia’s delegation to the United Nations in Vienna starting in 2013.


His remains were repatriated within days to Moscow—before German officials could investigate.


German security officials charged with protecting the embassy are said to have found the body of the man at 7:20 a.m on Oct. 19. Der Spiegel reports that he had been working at the embassy since mid-2019 as a secretary, though the magazine says German officials confided that they had identified him as a spy working undercover.


German media also reports that he was dispatched to Berlin two months before the Tiergarten murder that year—when Georgian exile and Chechen rebel commander Zelimkhan Khangoshvili was assassinated in broad daylight in the German capital.


The Bellingcat investigative website reported that the super-secret Second Service arm of the Russian intelligence service, which is responsible for counterterrorism, was involved in the poisoning of Alexei Navalny in the summer of 2020. It is not known whether the dead man was involved at all in that case. Navalny was spirited to Berlin’s Charité hospital after his poisoning. The dead man was in Berlin at the same time, according to the Der Spiegel report. Bellingcat said there was no evidence that he was connected to the planning or execution of the assassination.


The Russian embassy told local German reporters that the man’s cause of death was “unknown,” but that they were considering it a “tragic accident,” and hinting at suicide. German investigators were not allowed access to the embassy to conduct their research, and the corpse of the dead man, who had diplomatic status, was whisked away before they could attempt to investigate.


In 2003, another worker at the Russian embassy in Berlin fell fatally from an upper window; and in 2017, a prominent lawyer connected to whistleblower Sergei Magnitsky was thrown from a window in Moscow under suspicious circumstances.

Does the 35 year old deceased man have a name? I mean, they know the name of his father. If a name is considerately provided, we might actually be able to Google it, and find out some more details. So far, just seems like a jumper.

The construction of Nord Stream 2 was fully completed on September 10. Before pumping can commence, the operator of the project should submit certificates of technical norms conformance to the Stralsund mining authority. It should also be registered as an independent transport operator - the Federal grid agency is to issue certification by January 8, 2022. The agency cannot prohibit gas pumping, but if it starts before the registration is finalized the operator will be fined. This registration is obligatory for meeting the norms of the EU Gas Directive.
