I am well read on the French Revolution, because I did this book in English at College, "A Tale of Two Cities" by Charles Dickens.
All you need to know is in that book, because only the English know the French,it's their nearest neighbour.
Don't ask a Frenchman for info on the French Revolution,he won,t know as much about it as the English on TD.

Have a read of this book. Great insight into the French Revolution. It's on The Pirate Bay. I can't link to it now as I'm in work.

It might be worth you reading about the 100 years war as well.
A Brief History of the Hundred Years War: The English in France, 1337-1453 by Desmond Seward gives a brief account.

...or maybe starting with Henry II of England would be better...
I've dabbled in the 100 years war. I will start off with citizens chronicle if it's on torrent.

    Cheers, Troy.
