Clearly guns are creating the very problem that causes you to feel the need to have one; a cure thats a 100 times worse than the disease. Thats why the NRA have succesfully lobbied to ban almost reaserch into the effect of guns in america. Moved this from the Zimmerman case thread. It's another case of a white man killing a black kid. In this case, the issue of when old people should lose their right to own guns should be an issue as well- at least that's my opinion.

We can choose to believe Zim or not. He claims he was ambushed.
This is not a case of nullification at all. Read the FL statute on 2nd degree murder. You can google it.
The eye-witness testimony and forensics killed any chance for a 2nd degree murder conviction and I am sure the prosecutor knew that before the trial started.
The only chance was for manslaughter.
And (again) the eye-witness testimony and forensic evidence said it all.
Having grown up in Wash. DC and had much contact with Negroes of the city, I can say for a fact that they mature physically much earlier than their flabby TV baby Caucasian counterparts.
