Clinton wins Puerto Rico.
30 delegates more and she has enough for the nomination.
Time for Bernie to stop the whining.
http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/clinton...rico-1.3617593Hillary Clinton overwhelmed Bernie Sanders in Puerto Rico's Democratic presidential primary on Sunday, putting her within striking distance of capturing her party's nomination.
After a blowout victory Saturday in the U.S. Virgin Islands and a decisive win in the U.S. territory, Clinton is now less than 30 delegates short of the 2,383 needed to win the nomination, according to an Associated Press count.
^ thats your bitch eh?
You nasty fuck.
I just retured from the US. I spent most of my time near Duvall and Woodinville, WA near Seattle and in the Candler Park area of Atlanta. My daughter, her husband and all of their friends, my son and his wife and their parents and all of their friends are Bernie supporters. Never saw a Trump sign on a lawn anywhere. The only Trump supporter I met was on my stop over in Taipei. He spent a lot of time bragging about how many fights he had been in and also revealed that he believed in Sasquatch and Oggo Poggo.

He's got the super delegates vote on july 23rd. yes/no ?Originally Posted by harrybarracuda

And Bernie wins..
Yes, technically it's still possible, but with Clinton miles ahead on both delegates and the popular vote, there is no reason to do so.
What I meant was that Bernie has to stop moaning about the system being rigged.
He's been soundly beaten and if by some miracle he could swing enough superdelegates, it would probably be considered a travesty by the majority of Democratic Party members.
I doubt it's going to happen though.
Especially as he has done nothing for the party at all other than attach himself to it.
Ahhhh...so you met an early Trump supporter.Originally Posted by Humbert

as he is also anti estab and Clinton will slither back into her nest.
WOW.
^ That's a big, unrealistic 'if'. They will overwhelmingly support the Democratic Party candidate. Sanders will campaign for her and bring the majority of his supporters onboard.
Clinton clinches Democratic nomination: AP delegate count
Hillary Clinton has reached the number of delegates needed to clinch the Democratic presidential nomination, the Associated Press said on Monday, putting her on course to become the first woman to head a major U.S. party ticket.
Clinton, a former secretary of state, reached the 2,383 delegates needed to become the presumptive Democratic nominee with a decisive weekend victory in Puerto Rico and a burst of last-minute support from superdelegates, the AP reported.
Clinton has 1,812 pledged delegates won in primaries and caucuses. She also has the support of 571 superdelegates, according to an Associated Press count.

Clinton Hits 'Magic Number' of Delegates to Clinch Nomination
Hillary Clinton has secured a majority of delegates to the Democratic National Convention, NBC News projected on Monday evening — making the former secretary of state the presumptive nominee of the Democratic Party.
Clinton, whose first quest for the Democratic nomination ended in a concession speech almost exactly eight years ago to the day, now becomes the first woman ever to win the nomination of a major political party in the United States.
Clinton reached the majority of 2,383 delegates with a combination of pledged and unpledged "super delegates." The new tally includes pledges from over a dozen new superdelegates as well as her accumulation of 36 pledged delegates in Sunday's Puerto Rico primary.

^Counting her chickens before they hatch.....
To be fair, Earl, she and her campaign, did not make the announcement. The media is calling her the presumptive nominee based on their polling of super delegates who have announced their intentions.Originally Posted by Mr Earl

Clinton had scheduled a “victory rally” in Brooklyn in New York on Tuesday night, on the assumption that the networks would call the race for her on the basis of elected delegates in New Jersey, where Clinton is heavily favored and where polls close at 8 p.m. EDT.
Doesn't make any difference, Bernie will be snivelling all the way to the convention until he gets his arse kicked.
Then he'll probably snivel some more.

So Bernie has had his arse well and truly kicked.
He's on telly in a minute and no doubt he's going to embarrass himself by saying he's going to fight on for the super delegates.
Having said that, apparently he's just sacked half of his campaign staff.
Methinks "The Bern" is flickering out.
Hillary got the nod.
Hillary Clinton claims Democratic Party’s presidential nomination, history
WHITE House hopeful Hillary Clinton made history today, becoming the first woman in America’s 240-year history to lead a major political party into an election.
Clinton claimed the Democratic presidential nomination on Tuesday night (Wednesday afternoon AEST) in front of screaming supporters at a rally in New York.
It followed a convincing win over her main rival, Bernie Sanders, in the New Jersey primary.
Clinton used her speech to thank pioneers who helped advance women’s rights in America for centuries.
“There are still ceilings to break for women and men but don’t let anyone tell you that great things can’t happen in America,” Clinton said.
She thanked her mother and called her “the biggest influence in my life.
“She overcame abandonment and mistreatment and managed not to become bitter or broken.”
She saved a few subtle digs for her opponent in the race to America’s top job, Donald Trump.
