People purporting to have an interpretation of science say a lot though and it's a peculiar trait of conspiracy theorists that they'll often be at pains to mention and highlight the supposed credentials of people at the outset even if it doesn't actually bare scrutiny and they're irrelevant -- for e.g. a 'scientist' dismissing global warming and it turns out they have a degree in chemistry or something.
