Well, one thing we do know about Obama that he is in favor of late-term abortions.

Then State Senator Barack Obama said he was pro-choice on abortion including late term and partial birth abortions.
Has he changed his mind? Haven't heard anything to the contrary. The difference between a late-term abortion and infanticide is a matter of splitting hairs.

Former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist endorsed President Obama for reelection on Sunday, writing in a Tampa Bay Times op-ed that the president is "the right leader for our state and the nation."
"I applaud and share his vision of a future built by a strong and confident middle class in an economy that gives us the opportunity to reap prosperity through hard work and personal responsibility," Crist writes. "It is a vision of the future proven right by our history."
Crist, a former Republican who served as governor from 2007 to 2011, switched his party affiliation to Independent during a failed U.S. Senate bid. Crist lost the 2010 race to Sen. Marco Rubio.
In Sunday's op-ed, Crist went after his former party, citing Rep. Todd Akin's (R-Mo.) "legitimate rape" comments as an example of right-wing extremism.

Jon Huntsman should really endorse Obama too- he has little in common with the extreme positions of the dominant Republican right. But I daresay he will remain quiet. There have also been a couple of recent defections of politicians from the Republican party in California, for the same reason- right wing extremism. I wonder how long it will take the right wing of the party to be put back in their place as the so called 'loonies', their moniker under the Bush snr administration? The answer to that is probably tied up with the results of the forthcoming election. Similarly, I would think if the Dem's shifted much to the Left it would not go well for them either- as Americans themself like to remind us, it is a 'moderate conservative' country.
The Tea party favorites, such as nutty Sharron Angle, did not fare well at the midterm elections, neither did they fare well in the republican primaries. We should not confuse the noise they make with electoral success.

I look at all of the negative, personal attack ads put out by the obama enclave and shudder at this guy. And why are all the leftist guys here so concerned about abortion rights? As a woman, I say back off. Since liberal woman are supposed to be so smart, why don't they look after themselves? In this day and age, you wanna have consensual sex, you gotta be smart enough to know about STDs. (Guys should be aware of this, too.) Besides gonorrhea & AIDS, there are many other diseases you can contract from a guy: herpes, viruses that lead to cervical and oral cancers, all kinds of infections...IOW, Unprotected sex is not recommended. Use a condom. If both partners are checked out and then monogamous, and don't want kids use birth control. Partial term abortion, where the child is born alive -- same as a PREEMIE -- is MURDER.
Taxpayers should NOT be forced to pay for abortions or birth control.

Obama Speech to Troops Met with Silence
President Barack Obama was greeted with fleeting applause and extended periods of silence as he offered profuse praise to soldiers and their families during an Aug. 31 speech in Fort Bliss, Texas.
His praise for the soldiers — and for his own national-security policies — won cheers from only a small proportion of the soldiers and families in the cavernous aircraft-hanger.
The audience remains quiet even when the commander-in-chief thanked the soldiers’ families, and cited the 198 deaths of their comrades in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The audience’s reaction was so flat that the president tried twice to elicit a reaction from the crowd.
“Hey, I hear you,” he said amid silence.
The selected soldiers who were arrayed behind the president sat quietly throughout the speech.
CNN and MSNBC ended their coverage of the speech before it was half-over.

IMO the Rebulicans made a huge mistake in nominating Mr Sleaze as a serious contender for the presidency and his selection of running mate quite honestly made things worse. Just about anyone else would have had half a chance, even Bart Simpson. The party supporters need to look a lot deeper, cease the whoopin and a'hollerin and do some serious homework.

I checked realclear today and if accurate, there are 11 states that are "toss-ups."
I am getting very interested in the breakdowns in the battleground states - which of course will decide the winner of the election in 7 weeks.

Forget post-convention bounces - the numbers that really matter are in the battleground states, where President Obama's polling advantage is more concerning to Mitt Romney's team than any national numbers.
No Republican has ever won the presidency without winning Ohio, and Romney isn't in a strong position to become the first.
According to ABC News' latest race ratings, President Obama is in strong position for 237 electoral votes, when leaning and solid Democratic states and combined. Mitt Romney has only 206 votes he can expect in his column, as of now.
Add in Ohio's 18 electoral votes, though, and Obama stands at 255 - within striking distance of the magic number of 270. Romney would need to win nearly every other battleground state - a list that includes Paul Ryan's Wisconsin, once thought to be safely Democratic - to pull out the presidency without Ohio.
