Bo Phout Beach
This sandy stretch of beach, bending around the northern bay of the island, offers the natural beauty and peace of southern Thai beaches. The calm sea makes this a great spot for water sports. The proximity to the fishing village lets the visitor observe the traditional lifestyle still carried on by the local fishermen.
On the two sides of a small road along bop hut beach are the remaining traces of a Chinese community and the local shops.
And restaurants keep the touch of old style Chinese architecture. A fair distance away from this area we find a nice place to sunbathe and swim.
Mae Nam Beach
The peaceful, white sandy beach of bop hut curves gently over five km along the northern coast of Samui island. The beach offers lovely views of the neighbouring island of Phangnan.
Many tourists choose Mae Nam Beach because of its beautiful scenery, peacefulness and its clean sandy beaches. It is a delight for homeymooners and families, who are looking for a romantic, private atmosphere
The community in this area is quite large and well developed. The Koh Samui – Koh Pha Ngan Pier is also located here. We find many accommodations, restaurants, diving schools and water sport shops. There are not yet any noisy bars or nightclubs in this area.
Chaweng Beach
This beach of delicate white sand stretches for about seven kilometers along the eastern coast of the island and is the most popular beach on Koh Samui to date. It fascinates with its swaying palms and its natural beauty.
Moreover, it is the centre of a wide range of accommodation and entertainment options. Twenty years ago Chaweng was merely a small fishing village. Now, contrarily, it has become a favorite for both Thai and foreign tourists. The middle part of Chaweng beach is the liveliest and features uncontaminated soft, white sandy beach with a wide choice of accommodations and prices ranging from a few Euro per night to the luxury of creative five star hotels with all amenities.
Lamai Beach
Lamai Beach is the second most popular beach on koh Samui and behind the golden coloures fine sand, a wide range of beach bungalows and hotels can be found scattered between swaying palms. Behind the beach line a good choice of restaurants, shops and amusement venues cater to all tastes.
The village of Lamai retains the charm of an original community and is favoured, due to its tranquilly, by many foreigners, who spend a longer period of time on. The island. It is not difficult to find many places that are quiet and private to get away and relax.
The beach is approximately four km long. Both the northernmost and southernmost areas are quieter. A number of scenic rocks and coral reefs make this part less suitable for swimming compared to the middle part of the beach.
