Living in Hua Hin.

Yet to go there, but...

From what I've researched it sounds like a good place to live... not too full-on, not too boring/quite.

Has a good few farang restaurants to dine at when you want, a few farang bars to watch sports/listen to music/play pool at (without having to go to the same place everytime), not too big and polluted, beaches, a few sexpat soi's for when you want to let your hair down without having to go to the same places/girls/LB's etc.

So hey, anyone living there, does this sound about right?

Cha-am doesn't fit that description at all. It's nice, but much quieter & far more Thai. Suits some, but I'd go mad living there. I prefer HH.

but hua hin is only 15 minutes down the road - and a good piece of road at that

And if you continue on down this good road you will find Chumpon which is nice area that isn't infested with silver haired farangs like Hua Hin.

If you drive far enough you will end up in Phuket, or if you went the wrong way Pattaya.
