Personally I'd like to see the tax status of all religious institutions reset to be compatible with their clear attempts to make a profit and influence politics and public opinion.

I worked in the World Financial Centre for a while (which is next to the ex-WTC) and didn't even know Park Place, where this old decrepit garment factory is that they want to turn into whatever, even existed. ^ Technically true Jet, but with WTC & WFC housing so many Brokers and Banks it was functionally considered part of it, or at least an adjunct. Actually, the original financial district (mostly Wall & Broad St) is closer to the proposed Mosque than GZ. But you won't find any banks in this shabby little street. Historically, the place might have been considered part of the garment district.
