Ok as the designated board snoop, I've been spying on some of you and now it's time for you to explain your recent movements.
It's come to my attention that some of you are spending time in our 'trash can' the area where the rubbish gets dumped so I've been told.
Well if one was to go there you would see that there isn't anything to be seen but it doesn't stop a mumber of you visiting and, I might add, remaining for quite a while.

Dropped out of HS at 15
Got my HS diploma at 21.
Did some college, at about 40 or so; aced what I wanted to; flunked the rest. One semester i took 21 units, Fuckin crashed and burned on that one, jack. Did do well in the communications/writing course til I dropped it, still got a C, the stuff they wanted me to write about was, uncomfortable for me. It comes out easier now 13 - 14 years later.
My granny used to put a book in my hands as I was learning to talk. Grew up reading. Six years inside an institution of criminal 'higher learning' you get alot of opportunity to read, it becomes habit. Everything (OK, damn near) I've ever learned, I taught myself.
History is littered with fuckers that had less education than me and wrote a fuck of a lot better. One of my favorite writers Stien/Steinbeck was one. Read some of his shit, then read Vonnegut, swear he was influenced by Stien/Steinbeck. Steinbeck can turn a phrase and write dialog that makes you laugh out loud.
Much like some fo the things you write my friend.
I wish I could be as funny as half the fuckers on this board.

Frankie, you may not bring out the belly laughs of some but there's not many who are as interesting as you.
You have a laconic style that makes you 'familiar' to your readers.
Some one in my past told me that anyone who can write has read a lot of books.
I'm amazed at the different authors that I've seen people name as someone they've read.
People like blackjack and danbo. Always name dropping some author whom I've only heard of but never read.
Now Vonnegut??
I've read "Grapes of Wrath" but that's the only Steinbeck.
I guess I played too much pool.:(

I have always felt that reading Cannery Row or Tortilla Flat will give the reader an insight into life in rural Philippines and to a slightly lesser extent Thailand.
