Immigration Police conduct a raid of Coyotees Go-Go Bar.


[PATTAYA ONE NEWS] : In the early hours of Saturday Morning, Immigration Police led by Police Colonel Atisawit, conducted a raid of the Coyotees Go-Go Bar located in the Marine Plaza area behind Walking Street.

Officers entered the bar and identified the Australian owner and detained him while a search took place.

Two employees under the age of 18 were found and a Cambodian employee who did not possess a Work Permit was also working at the venue and was subsequently arrested.

Officers also found rooms located above the Bar which they claimed were being used for customers to engage in sexual acts with employees in exchange for cash.

An allegation which was vehemently denied by the Australian owner but confirmed by the Mamasan of the venue, Khun Wacharee aged 44.

Pictorial evidence of the rooms and the bar were presented to senior officers at Pattaya Police Station who will take over the case.

The fact it was immigration who did the raid, and the fact that they arrested a cambodian, make me wonder if the local girls are feeling the pinch and getting rid of the competition.

And got to love that momma san dobbing the guy straight in it. Bet she's gonna be looking for work in the not too distant future...

PATTAYA POLICE RAID COYOTEES GO GO BAR – OWNER AND MAMASAN ARRESTED

Pattaya, August 22, [PDN]: At 2:00 am on August 22nd 2009, Pattaya Immigration police carried out a raid on the Coyotees Go Go Bar in central Pattaya. An Australian national and a Thai were arrested on charges of human trafficking and operating a prostitution business.

Pattaya’s immigration police superintendent, Police Colonel Atiswis Kamonrat, and his team paid an unexpected visit to the bar situated in building no. 374/7-11 next to the Marine hotel in Walking street. The two storey building housed a bar on the ground floor and rooms on the second floor.

Police searched the bar and detained 21 female dancers, including one from Cambodia. Two under aged (17) girls were found in the rooms on the second floor servicing customers.

The bar owner, an Australian named Trevor James Halley [52], and the Mamasan, Mrs Watcharee Bahtpoh [44], were both arrested and taken into custody.

Mrs Watcharee confessed that she had been the Mamasan, hosting and providing women to the clients. All the women, including those under-aged, confessed to the charges made against them while Mr. Halley denied the charges - he claimed he had nothing to do with the prostitution business but the officials did not believe him.

After the investigation they were all taken to the Pattaya police station for further processing.

^dare say he'd be a marked man, better get the hell out of dodge if I were him. Granted I'd find it rather suspicious if someone came in a bar and started asking who the youngest bird in the joint was. (alarm bells would have went off) However doesnt excuse the owner from not making sure everyone is legal.

Just wondering who he pissed off. Bit of a laff with the charges as well, how they can give those with a straight face I'm not sure since they'd have to shutdown most of Pattaya if they were serious.
