export business claiming back duties
With a longer term intention of creating a way to earn an income when I finally come to live for a while in Thailand, I have created an on-line motorcycle parts business which is currently steadily growing as I ship parts, not only to within Oz but also export to other countries (including Thailand)....
Now at some point I'm going to move my stock and operations to Thailand and of course pay import duties and VAT upon entry of said stock. As I understand it if I then sell/re-export out of Thailand, "the business" would be eligible to re-claim that money/obtain refund on duties and VAT paid.
Does anyone else on the forum have a business model like this where they re-claim this and how do they go about doing this? Is it simply a matter of a monthly tax return like is done by Thai businesses for VAT? Or perhaps the claim back for import duties is done some other way? Anyone have some accurate advice?
