    aw phuk-another phuket thread

Spent 3 nights in kata /karon recently and 2 nights in phi phi island, hadnt been in years and quite enjoyed it

Using frequent flyer points i booked the first 2 nights in the Woraburi resort karon beach

Had no idea what to expect from this place but was quite surprised when i opened the sliding door and found a massive pool within 2 steps, the kids were bloody stoked

As was i when i spotted the swim up bar

That euphoria was short lived when i found out no kunt actually mans it, fortunately a seven 11 was within coo ee, problem solved.

There was even a bit of eye candy

The weather was shit when we arrived so using the beach wasnt an option, it cleared up nicely the remaining days luckily

Karon beach is notorious for drowning farangs

Not to many tourists about so we pretty well had the pool to ourselves

Next day we hired a small car ( 1300 baht) and went for a drive about the place to check it out

These little gasoline vending machines are all over the island, bloody handy that

This intersection added another 2000 baht to the rental price when somchai on his scooter collided with my front fender , you Twat somchai!

Oh yeah, that too. But he's still a dirty old perve for getting caught taking pics of the girls in bikinis.

Needs to take a few tips from Loopy. He always gets them when they're looking the other way (and touching their toes)

Thankyou Fozzy, I am on Phuket just now. Got quite a few good pics but not suitable for a family forum like TD!

Alas, I am not as stealthy as looper but rest assured some sneaky shots of the bints will be forthcoming,he also has the added advantage of not having his missus watching his every move, had a good perve and a few bevvys with another TD member in Hooters bar, quite busty they were, and got a couple of pics of some blokes in dresses on Bangla road just incase butters comes back. Next I'm off to take the wife to pat some Tigers at the tiger petting zoo, what could possibly go wrong?

Despite somchai and his scooter trying to fuk up my day it was quite nice to have the little car to get around in and probably still worked out cheaper and less hassle than dealing with the tuk tuk somchais

we were headed for rawai to eat seafoodbut stopped of at the view point to grab a couple of pics

The beach was fairly calm at rawai

    Lunchtime

Some pretty good fresh seafood to be had here

You just buy your seafood from the vendor then wander over and choose a restaurant and they will cook it up for you any way you like it, for a small charge.

A bit grubby out the back of the seafood market though

Wont be needing the viagra after this lot

Next day we had seats booked on the andaman cruser over to phi phi, takes a couple of hours but its quite comfy and you can get a beer,

From Karon you need to get a taxi to Rassada pier to catch it

Gotta love these Tinglish safety signs

On the boat you can do a bit of light reading

On phi phi we had booked a place called phi phi villas, about a 10 minute walk from the pier . They were nice enough to send a bloke with a cart to carry the luggage

The kids got a ride as well

The ferry drops you of at Tonsai pier then continues on to Laemtong. At Tonsai pier you can change ferrys and continue on to Krabi, Might do that another time

Bugger all cars or motorbikes on phi phi so you need to walk everywhere

This little beach was right outside our resort.

Seafood on the island was a bit more pricey than phuket but not that much to deter mrs bld

What is it with thais and bob marley? most of the locals were getting around with dreadlocks or "big hair" i didnt have the heart to tell them he is dead, kunts were probably still waiting on his next album coming out

Nice thread mate and good pics...
However no wonder tourists continue to get ripped off..1200bt/kilo tiger prawns plus cooking charge? What ?About qty 6-10 per kilo? .....well you can do the math? Probably not a lot different from a hi so restaurant.
Large tiger prawns in the boonies ....less than 250bt per kilo..used to be around 150bt.
Whatever ...as long as you had a good time right..that is what it is about yes?

^ yeah, wouldnt call seafood a bargain, But not ridiculously expensive either, and at least its fresh i live in landlocked Laos so its a bit of a treat for me and her indoors to eat fresh seafood. My only complaint was the beer was invariably hot, WTF?

You should have chucked a heap of ice in it and completely fuked it.
