This is all going a bit off topic, what with posters bringing up various other breeds. As in the OP - They are Mah Thai (Thai Ridgeback) pups.

WOZ - I've PM'd you. Thanks for thinking of taking one or nine

You will need a big wall to contain one of those Thai Ridhgebacks. I used to have a Springer Spaniel cross that could scale a 6foot fence when he smelt bitches in season.

Because of prior geographic isolation and lack of human contact, the Thai Ridgeback remains independent minded and much of the original natural instinct and drives remain intact, particularly prey drive. Due to its nature, the Thai Ridgeback is not recommended for the novice dog handler. They have an excellent jumping ability and may seek to roam if not properly contained

yes. then if your going to contain that dog in a small holding with a 9foot fence your going to do lots of walkies .
now walkies ain't too bad but I don't think id want to be walking my dog on a lead and meet a pack of soi dogs...

I could imagine that. I had a soi dog who lived outside my front gate follow me on my bike to the beach one day. He must have had about 6 fights entering the different territories

Only thing is to build a cage without a floor and he can take his walk carrying his own personal protective equipment.

Okay. BULLSHIT! My Thai Ridgeback couldn't be arsed to jump a fucking fence, he'd rather try to chew his way through it! They are not 'independent minded' [sic]. As stated before, they are extremely loyal. They are known here as 'the dog that stays by the cart'.

There's a lot of crap on the internet, somewhat akin to 'expat' forums here. So either you want one or, conversely, would prefer a Pitbull for yourself, or a 'child substitute' , aka a poodle or shi tzu for your mia chao, or not. Up to you.

That's it. Was attempting to save these pups from some Godawful dog shelter and have received a bewildering assortment of non related/plain stupid replies. with the exception of WizardOfOz. Appears to be the PHUKET forum on the 'other place' as dimwitted as here.

    Enough already.
