Thai youth: Clever, constructive... copulating

PHUKET CITY: Valentine’s Day is traditionally a time when love is in the air, but according to officials at Phuket Provincial Health Office (PPHO), young love is too often finding its way under the sheets.

PPHO Chief Dr Wanchai Satthayawuthipong said that as Valentine’s Day is a time of high risk for youths losing their virginity and contracting STDs, his office will hold educational campaigns at schools throughout the province in the week leading up to the day of love.

Citing a 2005 survey on risky behavior among teens in Bangkok, the office reported that 29% of youths between 15 and 24 years old have had sex, while 7.5% intentionally have sex on Valentine’s Day.

The study also found an increase in STDs, such as gonorrhea, among teenagers and called for more sexual education throughout the country.

The slogan for this year’s campaign is “Thai youth: Clever, constructive, and protecting against sexually contracted diseases and Aids”.

Yea, 13 to 18 would have been better, damn few 24 year olds is gonna be cherry, and what I have seen there is gonna be a shortage of 17 year olds with all the unbroken parts running around since the advent of cell phones and guys that will pay for phone cards and costs.

Thais are weird me and my non Thai girlfriend are both in our mid twenties and the fuck wits at school seemed genuinely shocked when they learned that we sleep at each others houses at the weekend. My boss is a 28 year old virgin! Imagine working with someone that frustrated...

I have just come back from a visit to the wifes home town, and while staying at their resort was able to witness the endless stream of teenages visiting the reserve next door.
Usually the boys and girls arrive seperately and the "couple" will go off while the others act as lookout.
More often than not they will be in school uniform.Haven't actually witnessed any "adult" behaviour.
But this is a regular happening....

I don't know that being a virgin in the late twenties is all that rare. At my wifes family shindig a few weeks ago amongst the 85 guests there were about 15 unmarried female relatives and freinds turned up from around the county, all of these were ( I am told by wifey) Virgins, ages 20 to about 35.
I fantacised myself conducting a group therapy / deflowing session behind the Buffalo shed. It didn't happen

In our village if they are over 14 and un married or a virgin then there is something wrong with them. A thai mate just married a sweet 15 year old
