Are they making some cash?? More than the average "Ozzie"

But I still enquire about this "Saving Face" stuff.
If you don't understand the concept of 'face', then you need to spend more time in Asia.
    maybe you'll get it.

^Face is definitely a pan-Asian concept, although there aren't a lot of places in Asia where the impulse toward violence resulting from a loss of face is so quick. Philippines, maybe?

I had a Thai person tell me once about the differences between farang brawls and Thai brawls. She said farangs argue first, and then fight, but Thais fight first, and then argue at the police station after. Sounded about right to me.

^It's too strong for me too, but it doesn't make me want to kick off on Thais.

    Agree.

The real issue I have with Thailand is they advertise their country as Farang friendly Amazing Thailand and Thailand is actually quite dangerous for foreigners if you are not in the know.

The only brawl I have ever seen in Thailand was between some American Navy personnel and some Thais in walking street about 15 years ago.

Needless to say the Thais won through weight of numbers but apart from that nothing more over the 24 years I have lived here.

Maybe I've been drinking in the wrong places.

^ the right places mate id say, seen quite a few, probably ive been drinking in all the wrong places had a few right in the bar too, best to get behind the bar when one kicks off and have something infront of your face as a shield, let it burn out then start slinging the fcukers out, unless the cops arrive, then its best to make a sharp exit, if you werent involved, still make a sharp exit.

Spot on there Harry. The problem with many young Aussies visiting Thailand is that they get completely pissed up and lose there manners resulting in a bashing or worse from aggressive Thais. Whatever EH, its there problem.

Its Australia day today 42 deg heat and a shit load of Aussies on the piss ready for the fireworks tonight.

Bet your balls that on tomorrows news the headlines will be about the brawls and bloodshed that happened mainly at the hands of young drunken scum spoiling it for the other Aussies that are out to enjoy a few drinks.

The Aboriginals will be looking out to bash fok out of some white Aussies because we stole there country and now we got the Somali refugees getting in for a crack.

Its a cluster fok mate and I'm staying home.

More dangerous here than a night out in Phuket, I'll give you the tip.

In conclusion its always the young Aussies who get in the shit as the main aim of a top night out is to get completely hammered and fok up as much as possible.

Trouble being the dumb fuks don't realise just how dangerous Thailand can be when playing this game.

I ain't got a lot of sympathy for them and neither has most Aussies who can enjoy a few drinks without being a total fuk up.

And that Oi Oi Oi shit, you can bash that chant up your arse as that foking shits me.

Well, Terry, not far wrong there... but this year it started with a bunch of Abo's rioting against the beloved PM...

CANBERRA, Australia — Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard stumbled and was caught by a security guard as riot police helped her force a path through a crowd of rowdy protesters following a ceremony to mark Australia's national day Thursday.

She was unharmed and later remarked that she was made of "pretty tough stuff" and commended police for their actions.

Some great pic on the web of her almost falling arse over tit!!
Noticable in her "tough stuff" TV speach a few hours late that her dentures where looking a bit loose.
