Yes click on the picture in the gallery to show the larger version, then right click and view properties, copy the url there and paste that into the 'insert image' pop up on the post you are doing.

Well.....thats what I've been doing ....... exactly , and yet somehow when the picture appears on the thread its not big enough ? After DD's advice, I spent another 30 minutes trying every possible combination of clicking including the one you mention and had no problem getting the picture onto the thread but could do nothing to alter the size. Will keep fiddling with it tomorrow. Thanks to both of you for trying to help though.

when you initially resize your pictures, bring them down to 800x600, once uploaded you will then have 3 choices of size to use.

Google "Resize Magic" and get a free download. Easy and fast resizing of photos.

Well ......... you were right, so have a cigar.

Got it now o.k. Thought I'd give it a go before I went to bed and presto, saw where I was going wrong. I was selecting a picture from the album so that it came up a bit larger than the others then taking the Url from that. As it was bigger than the other pics I thought thats what the big picture was. Now I see that once you have this slightly larger image you have to click on it to get the full screen job then get the url. from that ........phew. Thanks guys, especially Marmite for being so patient and helpful in a taciturn kinda way.

Anyways, now some of the pics are too big so I'll resize them before opening my new thread. ' How to post pictures on TD .'

Sorry, but it does get boring doing this every week or so, especially when there are 2 or 3 stickied threads explaining how to posts pictures with easy to follow instructions.

No worries, you're right and once I had it sussed I felt a prat. If its any concilation, next time someone asks this question you, DD and ItsRobslife can put your feet up and refer them to me and let me sweat it out.

Its funny though how I was bloody sure I had checked everything....which I had....albeit on the wrong picture.

Ah well, thanks again the 3 of you and a goodnight from me.
