Driving through Sampran heading towards Nakon Prathom the other day I spotted this office or apartment block with this unbelievable ceramic tile pattern.

That symbol has a different meaning in Asia, something to do with one of the eastern religions.

true both Buddhist and Hindu use it, and also in some way "Sawasdee" is to say "Swastika"

The Swastika - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia from Sanskrit svástika स्वस्तिक.

I am not sure about Thailand but in Korea it is a Buddhist symbol.

Established long before the Germans and Hitler.

No doubt it was left over from that failed Nazi occupation of Thailand in 1972.

    (rolls eyes)

    Why 'unbelieveable' ceramic pattern?

The Germans/Nazis didn't invent, nor own the swastika design - it is of Hindi / sanskrit origin, and considering the cultural make up of Thailand, this is no surprise.

Unless you have proof that the building is owned by a German.
