    Scanning Negatives

No....not the sort that KW likes so much....the other kind.

Slides as also known by.....how do you scan them to store on your puter. I presume they have to be removed from the usual white or sometimes plastic frames and just the film alone placed in the scanner. I want to be sure before hacking all the slides to pieces.

Also scanning negatives....any reason to do this ? What can you do with them, use them for on computer ??
I like poisoning my neighbours dogs till they die cos I'm a cnut

Fuji and Canon film shops will scan all your old negatives, and burn them onto DVD's for you.

I recently did about 100 36mm films for about $100 here, no idea cost in thailand.

    Reason is to preserve them.

you scan them to turn them into digital photos. I think all scanning software can convert from negatives, if not, photohop can.

    Interesting.

So slides or transparencies will be the same then, you can save them and use them as normal prints or whatever ?
