    Help needed please

Having obtained a copy of Photoshop CS3 over a couple of months ago have been learning the basics of this. But when it comes to photoshopping I am at a complete loss in this. I am able to do it in other applications, but after many weeks of trying to do this in photoshop am still absolutely baffled.

Can someone direct me to a free video tutorial as to how to do this, or give me some guidance. At present am tearing my hair out as to why I cannot do this.

    Thanks

Go to MBK (or the same) and look for a DVD called Total Training For Photoshop CS3. They are usually about a 12-24 hour course (3-6 DVD's) in what ever field your looking for. In your case CS3. I've used them for Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Flash and I get real money for my results. ( I did this shit in uni but that was 5 years ago and way out of touch.) The teachers have the worst mrekin accents but hey knoe thier stuff!! I paid about 600 baht per set and it paid back in the first 10min of my first job!

Photosghop for dummies, I have it in PDF form, you are welcome to it as well as another book. I think the files are too big to email however.

I got them as torrents from mininova

DId you get the tutorial CD with your copy? Some great stuff in there will at least get you started. Otherwise to the the PS site (Adobe) there are tons of stuff there.

Shopping part of a photo onto another. Layering ?

There is so much stuff on the net that it is difficult to find. Maybe I am using the wrong keywords in my searches. I have worked out the layering of one photo, but getting it on the the other is a no no.

for the best description of layers and how to use them I've found go here

    Boston West Photographic Society

As posted on another thread. Once in the lessons section find the layers. Great stuff.
