A bit closer to see the details.

Cheers.
They're all quite imposing structures, as churches often tend to be.
Nice pics, thanks.
Nice angle. Makes one feel small but then we are.
^ That's a very good one.
Can I put it into the poll as an entry?
3rd oldest in the brew town.
Could easily spend days doing this theme. These were taken within a few blocks of each other
Sure you can. I was going to look back in my Laos pics for
Some Asian themed pics as well when I have time.
@david48 - thanks for reloading my pics.
There are lots of good entries. I liked the sunset pic by Mandaloopy and the monks pics by Fiddler.
Re: the monks at the waterfalls, it was a case of being at the right place at the right time. My friend and I visited the waterfalls. Since it was a summer weekend, there were lots of locals swimming, monks included. A group of them were at the base of the waterfalls; they later moved downstream, near some rocks. I'll try to find more religious themed stuff from my archives. Cheers!
Edit- @Luigi - no, I haven't been to that event, where they nail people to crosses during the Friday before Easter. That's done in a province 3-4 hours from mine - can't be assed to travel for that, especially during that week when traffic is so bad, going to the provinces. Think of Th people going home for Songkran. Same same ....

A relief I found on a local village temple in district Na Wa, Nakon Phanom province. Incidently, it is one of only a couple of villages that speak a different language to the surrounding area. It needs a title...
...and a different statue located in Wat Tham Pha Daen, I can almost picture that left eye, as a white curtain, opening up revealing Blofeld and his cat.
Very nice, Troy. Cheers.
Have heard of a few men in Isaan marrying pythons, believing that they are the reincarnation of past wives.
Takes all sorts.

An old-school poster on here. He had an Av that was similar colours.
Dusted off a few older images and found this.

Here's one from a small event I was at this afternoon.
It's St. Georges Chapel in Windsor, probably no one has heard of it...
