I agree the highlights are a bit too high in the first picture i stuggled to realise what was outside the cave for a while, but the second one is excellent.

I post a lot of HDR stuff here that I don't confess to because I want to see if people notice, if made to look genuine as the second one is it can be superb.

It's harder trying to spot your non-HDR shots.

Right ! decided to have a go at this HDR
    who better to try it on than my old enemy the bee ;
the black gits always steals the light and ruin the shots .
    So I thought maybe 3 bracketed shots 0 + 1.75 and -1.75 ,
then HDR would sort it out ,
[ was not sure about this this maybe 1 each way is better ?]

No luck they just don't stay still ..
And my camera, a lumix 24 X zoom compact aint really made for macro, but tries it's best .
Then I came across this obliging dragon fly , about 2-3 inches long,
taking it easy it was , lovely and still
maybe eating with it's top right arm or something ..

    out of camera - f/2.8
    iso 100
    1 /125

^ true HDR of the 3 shots
look's better , not sure if i could have achieved the same an easier way though ..

    oh and the bee
I'll catch him having a snooze one day
    and get him in focus
