Im just at a hotel. There's 2 or 3 proper restaurants. Mostly specializing in local food. Then there's a food court area with lots of kiosk style joints. With western food. I had a burger and fries yesterday. And a banana fruit shake

I swam with a shirt on for the first time yesterday. And it saved me from getting burnt to shit. Even with sun screen caked on. My arms are mildly burnt. So i picked up a long sleeve swim shirt today. There's lots of ppl wearing long sleeves and even head gear. The sun is just scorching

The water is on the cold side. Just the right temp. Not piss warm. So it's deceiving how much the sun is still being down on you.

I remember swimming in piss warm water in the hot season in Thailand

Of my times in Thailand , I've never had to resort to wearing a shirt while swimming. If i used sunscreen spf 50 or 60, i was fine. This is different.

It's geared to Filipinos. I'm the only white man here. I've had difficulty communicating with hotel staff and at restaurants. It's like Thai island almost.

There's food court style western food. But the restaurants have no western dish on the menu

There's a few small places with drinks. But everyone just brings their own booze and music at the gazebos.
