^the water is clear & good for snorkelling. I didn't go on a snorkelling trip, though, just swam at the beach. Yes, there are touts who will offer boat tours w/ snorkelling to nearby islands. A lady that I talked to (a guest at the sister resort) mentioned that they went on a boat trip, w/ snorkelling & exploration of a nearby cave included in the package.

At Sabang beach (I went there on day 3), many ppl go there for diving. I don't dive, so can't comment if it's good or bad. Maybe Davis or Crocman knows. Accdg to Sabang's post, the reef was once very high in biodiversity, but some parts have been destroyed by dynamite fishing.

Time for sunrise of Day 2... One day more...

    Another day, another destiny...

Kudos to those who will recognize the song

My body clock woke me up at my usual time (which was ughh, since I was on holiday), but as I was awake already, I got up and took pics of the sunrise. It was beautiful.

For Day 2, I went to Tamaraw waterfalls, which is along the highway going to Calapan city, direction is SE of Puerto Galera. But first, I needed my tapsilog breakfast. Banana & tomatoes are not included in the package - I bought those from a nearby sidewalk vendor. I didn't eat at the resort resto but at some streetside canteen. They cooked it for me while I waited, and asked me how I liked my egg. For this time, I had it scrambled.

While waiting for my tapsilog brekky to be cooked, I took a few pics of the 'hood.

This is the resto of the resort. It's managed by an American guy, Danny. Great guy, very personable. Badladz Resort is owned by a Filipina-Canadian couple, but Danny operates the resto at the Dive Resort. There's a sister beach resort, which I went to later in the afternoon.

This is the way to Badladz Dive Resort, from the street. There are trike drivers and boatmen who will offer you rides.

These ppl were buying their tickets to go back to Batangas. You don't need a reservation - just buy the tickets there (esp if low season).

So after my brekky, I went off to see Tamaraw Falls. It's ~17 km SE from the pier, accdg to the driver. Since it was a holiday (Eid al Adha, feast of sacrifice), the road was deserted. Saw some ongoing road construction...

Hmm, seems the mangrove pic didn't load... will diagnose later...

Anyway, I'll end here for now. Will leave a pic of a goat that I saw later that afternoon.

I'll reckon I'll never go there so Katies and BLD's pics will be my only trip.
