That was tough! She knows that I am going to Thailand for an unknown period of time and so we have decided to split up and see how we feel when I get back. Not so bad really, few days of bad moods, lovey dovey shit and arguing and we're cool.

She also knows that I have been out with Thai girls beforea and all that (although she doesn't know they were professional Farang hunters and Thai TV watchers, you know the sort).

But I just had to describe Pattay to her, let's just say she was not amused. I said that Ive never even been there, but I expect it to be something like BKK on the beach with extra blood-curdling sordidity thrown in.

A strange draw for me ceratinly, but I think that I will really like the place. I have always been fascinated with the under-belly rather than the feux-civilised parts of countries and cities. Anyway, enough of the white g'yals for the next few weeks, bring on the Asian chicks I say.

Well Patters has some nice places... (apart from the red light district boys). I recomend glasses though, very dark ones so you are not disturbed by the daily show of cellulite sporting males having a "holiday"

On a more serious note. Great place if you like the touristy stuff.

Pattaya only really has one thing going for it, and that is the availability of cheap willing young ladies, the sea is dirty, the beach is crap, the roads are dirty and dangerous, That's why I moved to Jomtien

I've lived in Pattaya for 4 or 5 months before.

I had just moved into a condo in Jomtien (Jomtien Beach Condominium I think, about 2km up the beach road) when I landed a job in Bangkok and had to move up here.

I like Jomtien, but noticed there was quite a lot of men with boys around and on the bit next to Pattaya Park there was always gay massage going on.
