Nice photos. I wonder if some of them, however, aren't from a bit later - like the ones of girls in bikinis on stage. I was in Bangkok on R&R from Vietnam in late-1968, and there was no action like that at that time. As I recall, Rick Menard opened the first Bangkok club with dancers in (relatively modest) bathing suits in 1969 - the Grand Prix on Patpong Road. Other than that, some of the black and white shots caused a flashback or two. Thanks for sharing them.

    Good find.

What makes TD the best is its pictorial threads.

Good to see you back Davis and I agree some of the color shots must be the early 70's especially the go go and music pictures. That Mazda pickup was not from the 60's. But great shots, a good remembrance from the old days.

^Thanks AO. Was under the weather for a couple of weeks, and then off with the wife and twins on a three-week visit to the US to see my Mom and family, and to introduce the twins to America. More on trip once I get over jet lag.

Indeed, AO. A few are from the early and mid-70s. Nonetheless....same era.

The knicker snapping gang would have had an easy job in those days, most of them very pretty girls.

    Great pics mate!

    Some things never change eh?

Splash a bit of colour on the photo and it could pass as today.

Nice pics Impact, shame you never added any comments or explanation.

You seem to start threads and then forget about them

What's the relevance with the last photo ?

Yeah, great stuff but I have to agree, some captions and explanations would go down a treat.

^Right Click on photo. Save as: My Documents. Go into my documents. Enlarge or otherwise play with it. If you enlarge this picture, however, you lose a lot of clarity/focus. I don't know much about computers, so I'm certain there are better ways to do it. Was just messing around to see what happened, and what I said above worked (kind of).

    None as good as this.

isnt there a way of resizing images here?

i have doubled the image size on my computer, changed the format to jpeg but it still displays here very small.

All of these pics are derived [original sources] from memoir sites of GIs stationed at American bases [Korat, Udon, Ubon, etc] and BKK R&R during the wars....not terribly difficult to dig up if you know where to look. There are tonnes of related war-era girly pics around.
