Talking "This Is Thailand" Tale From The City Expat Club

"The waitress announced we get a 2nd cup of coffee free with any order. Oh, that's nice. The 1st cup was really good, I eagerly ordered my 2nd cup. The cup arrived moments later but tasted horrible! When pressed, the waitress explained innocently: 2nd cup made from instant coffee. TiT"

    that picture is quite depressing,

Pattaya is getting worse, what happened to the nice friendly whores of the late 90s ?

I blame the English retiree expats, they chased them away

    good luck to them.

its got to be better than spending your retirement in blighty, with the freezing weather, poverty level pensions, health care waiting lists, high cost of living, mean streets and ungrateful and grasping sons and daughters who cant wait to get their hands on the inheritance.

good on them for showing some spirit and being brave enough and young at heart enough to leave their homeland.

they have taken positive control of their lives and are enjoying themselves.

we are all heading towards old age, best not to knock and mock, but to show respect to those who have got it well planned and sorted.

to all you "youngsters" making the snide comments here, as currency rates tumble, investments go up and down seemingly without reason, inflation eats away at savings, jobs get harder to find, pension funds fall and countries go bankrupt, just what will you be doing once you hit 50 or 60? and how will you fund it and how will you cope if you have to return home, don a flat cap and oxfam overcoat and live off asda bread and baked beans whilst sitting in front of coronation street every night cos its too cold to go out.
