Tahitian Queen fire

Apparently the venerated afternoon A-Go-Go on Beach Road (the TQ) caught fire yesterday around 5:00 PM.

I'm a friend of a friend of the owners......These are a couple farang guys who did it right & have had the place running since the mid-1980's........Gotta be a record for bar ownership in Pattaya.

I live in Jomtien & my friends are calling me & emailing asking about it, as it was THE place to be way back when, & of course were worried.

From what I hear, it got gutted pretty good, but no injuries.

I'm sure that 7 billion people and cars on Beach Rd. during Songkran made it easy for the fire trucks to arrived 2 hours late.

I hope they re-build. Maybe put a jacuzzi in that one room in back???

Stuff me drunk the wonderful owners ripped my old Mate Willy the Wedge off when we arrived in his IMF Limo from BKK and young Willy rang the Klaxon 50 fucking times and paid for it all with his Platinum Shitty Card.
He was an out of control mainiac and as mad as a snake. The next day the bloody idiot booked out that Belgique Welome Inn brothel and threw the Pool PAT party of all time.
Members of that then list travelled from afar just for the event.

The minders from TQ including his two blokes in suits and raybans recruited 50 stunners to supplement the dogs provided by the Welcum. The pool was wall to wall with bare flesh.

Unfortunatley young Willee, after dropping around 1000 purples in all the girls thingo's got a bit pissed

He then decided to chuck a little rice burner with 5 purples in her arse and else where into the pool.
Not a fucking good idea cause the little brown toothy's are strong little rice bag carrying fuckers


He ended up with 5 broken ribs and we tipped him into a poolside room and ate the rosted pig and drank his piss.

beers overpriced at 140 THB for a below average place, no enough stools to seat with all the old men there

I just received a telephone call from a mate and he reckons Woody is going to rebuild the bar which I reckon is great news.

Most of the bars on beach road are a fire trap with TQ being a perfect example but I hope Woody doesn't change the ambience of the place which has been so successful for so long.

Disco Fire - Pattaya People newspaper Thailand





One of Pattaya’s famous discos, Tahitian Queen Rock and Roll Bar, became victim to a fire on the afternoon of the 16th April. Tahitian Queen, the very first Go-Go bar in town, located between Soi 12 and 13 on Pattaya Beach Road, had just opened up for business, when staff got concerned as smoke started bellowing out of one of the air conditioning units. Suddenly, flames appeared and even though staff tried to extinguish the fire, it quickly got hold of nearby furniture and spread throughout the building. The fire brigade and police were called and neighbouring stores were warned to evacuate. It took the team of firemen, 20 minutes to control the blaze, but sadly a lot of damage had occurred to the main structure of the old building. Officials believe that the air conditioning overheated, resulting in a short circuit, but a full investigation is now underway as to find the cause of the fire.

I feel sorry for the many dedicated staff that have worked there for many years and now have no job.

I am also relieved that there was no loss of life and I do hope that the bar is rebuilt and back in action in the near future.

The TQ was a great meeting place for many friends around the world and was one of the few bars I felt totally relaxed and sure about not being ripped off in.

What a d..k you are mate. If you are lucky, you to may get old one day. The world was not made for 19 year olds alone you jerk.

My symaphy to Woody and most particually the staff who are now without an income. Yes the joint had some issues, but it was not the place you went for to pull stunners. It was the music STUPID! ....and the mates I have made in the place over the 20 or so years I have been going to Pattaya that kept me returning day after day.

I hope that Woody does rebuild in the style of the pre fire TQ. It was a winning formula.

So if you make it over 20 you fool without coming to grief whilst riding your motor bike or meeting some other terminal finish to your inconsequential and insiginificant life, I hope some young ignorant idiot heaps the same crap onto you......jerk!

Yeah, yeah I've heard it all before Dawg and there is a difference between handing over money and putting in the time and effort that Woody puts in.

There are many children that have been blessed with Woody's kindness (not only in your eyes his dirty money) and isn't that the main goal.
