    How safe is Pattaya?

    So how safe is Pattaya?
I have been giving this some thought today and have come to the conclusion that it is actually foking really dangerous, especially on the crime front, hell it aint even worth bothering in going into the way these fokwits drive on the road, so I shall stick to more serious crimes.

Lets start with that lovely one the Thais do so well, kicking gold necklace wearing people off their motorbike to rob them, every single person I know apart from one has had this happen to them, ie everyone I know who rides a bike and wears a gold necklace, out of all of them I know one that hasn't been kicked off his bike and robbed, ok he only wears a small English gold necklace and normally wears a shirt, but apart from him everyone else I know has been robbed this way, Thai and farang, I mean fok me that is one hell of a statistic already, I should add that most have required hospital treatment aswell, some with serious injuries but most just cuts and bruises.

House robberies in Pattaya, ok just houses as luckily most condo robberies are done by the rental slagdog of the evening, now houses in Pattaya are locked up like fort knox, ie security grills all over the place, lighting, spikes on the walls and fences, but fok me its an endemic in Pattaya, I mean if you had a little house in some Sussex village with foking security grills on your windows you would probably be raided by the police because it would look so suspicious, yet most people I know in Pattaya have had their house broken into and stuff robbed, I would say 9 out of 10 people I know, for being robbed at gun point in your own home luckily the figures for people I know is a lot less, maybe 1 out of 15 people I know have been held up in their own home in Pattaya at gun point, welcome to Thailand.

Muggings in Pattaya seem to be quite rare, violent muggings that is, well compared to the violence shown to gold wearing motorbike riders that is, I reckon 1 in 20 people I know have been violently mugged in Pattaya, a good example is a couple of Thais riding past you as your wlking down the road and then attacking you with a lump of wood, not the sort of thing you would be expecting after a nice meal out and walking back to your home, could be 1 in 30 I suppose.

Obviously most muggings in Pattaya don't involve violence, generally it seems most muggings happen on Beach Road and involve one bloke with tits and wearing a dress playing with your knob whilst the other blokes with tits go through your pockets, suprisingly this has only happened to 2 friends of mine, I do think it is a bit more common than that but they could be a bit shy of telling everyone of how they got robbed on beach road whilst some Thai bloke was playing with their knob.

Ripped off and scammed, I was going to do 2 paragraphs for this one, really seems no point though, everyone I know has been ripped off and scammed multiple times, whether it be the Thai national parks or an extra 5baht on taxies to more complex and expensive scams and rip offs.

So, have you booked your holiday to Pattaya yet

Naaa since I swallowed my gold tooth and after I became adapt in dodging flying bullets and Aussies I fell safe as houses mate

And when you go back home late night just make sure you are so stupefyingly drunk that you, don't know who you are, where you are going, or why, that takes the tip of the worst fear.

Look, Brit isnt even a real person. Britmaverick is an advanced prototype spambot developed by the Tourism authority of Thailand to scour the web looking for negative things about Splattaya and then posting excruciatingly innacurate polyanna kind of responses that sing the praises of Thailands largest open air toilet.

Personally I love the place, not because I enjoy going there, no, Its more because all of the petty, good for nothing shitbags that might be robbing my house got on the bus to pattaya and are there robbing somebody else every day

Actually more like few months a year, but then again I don't put myself in dangerous situations or maybe its my imposing presence that turns the criminal types from targeting me?

No adverse lady boy experiences apart from politely declining their services and legging it elsewhere. I'm sure Butterfy has a few stories for you DD that is after all his field of expertise.

Hurting someone for money is the lowest of the low.

Someone needs to teach these gangbangers how to be proper villans, so they'll leave people alone.

Saying that, they're probably all Yaba heads & don't think much further than another fix.

When I go to Pattaya I always feel the greatest threat to my safety is from the stupid driving, which is present everywhere in Thailand. It does seem to be slightly worse in Pattaya because of the motorcycles with idiots on them (both foreign and Thai) who do not know how to drive. I lived there 2 years, and never had any crime problem. Of course, I'm smart enough to take the same precautions there I would anywhere else. In any event, compared to traffic, crime is a distant second on the threat level.
