    99 baht pizza, Pattaya

Taking an opposite turn from "places you'd recommend," I'm going to blacklist this place. Doesn't have a name, just a sign that says 99 baht - Thursdays they have pizza - all you can eat (they have other kinds of food on other nights). It's on 3rd Road, across from X-Zyte, in Pattaya.

My friend recommended it and took me there after downing a few Leos, and the place was fairly busy. We sit down, order two pizzas - both pepperoni. 20 minutes later (and a reminder that we were still waiting), our pizzas arrive, quite small, but it's all you can eat, right? So we order two more. 45 minutes go by, an no pizzas, despite our reminders to the waitress that we're still there. I look around and see loads of people that look very impatient and annoyed. And then I notice - no one has food on their plates. No one is eating. There's a line at the cook counter and people are complaining. We remind the waitress yet again, but to no avail. I'm now tempted to just leave - so we do, after an hour of waiting.

Apparently "all you can eat" doesn't translate into Thai at this establishment. Stay away.

Oh - sorry no piccies - was too annoyed to pull the camera out and take pics of our non-existent food.

    Pattaya.

There's actually a similar place on Pattaya Klang, across from Carrefour, and the place is excellent. It's run by an Italian guy, and has great food.

Been there many times, find it to be good. Spagetti night was good as well. Liked the salad as well. Never took more than a couple of minutes to bring out the next one. Found it very exceptable. Will go back many times.

Okay, went back last night, this time around 6:00 or so. Almost no one there, and the service was excellent. This could be because of the hour, or the season. But they have improved since my last visit. Will probably go back.

Tried just about all but yet to find a decent pizza in Pattaya...best ever if 'scuse the namedropping, was the lobster pizza at harrods for a paltry £40.

There's a small place on Soi 9 in Jom Tien sells great pizza. Asked staff where they buy pepperoni -- they said New york. I believe it -- it was great

I thought it had closed down & become an extention of the motorbike place next door? Same guy owns both.

Worst food I've ever tasted. They use the remains of what you don't eat for the next customer.

I went to a new place called "Slices". (Just up Soi Dianne from 2nd Road on the left. Food was quite cold, small slices and not great. I said nothing but another man at another table said to me.."not good are they?...bit dry." Just then, a motorsai came up and a thai fella carried a bag into the shop and handed it over. I thought he was in for a collection. But no. He was leaving off 2 large pizzas!!!! The lady behind the counter took them, said n othing and set them under the heated counter. I thought that the food was usually made ON the premises in these places.....Maybe a reason for them not tasting fresh/hot??

Gets great hype on the Patts TV stations due mainly to their advertising contributions, so tried it once which was more than enough.

No motorbikes. The kitchen is right behind the bar. See everything they do. Quite nice actually. Will check the name today

The Pizza Company is better. Those thin cardboard pizzas suck.

Yeah I've had the same experience with a few establlishments in Pattaya. There's a place in Jomtien around Soi 7 or 8 that does that, as well as the place in Pattaya at the end of Soi 6. Order a pizza, 30 minutes later it arrives via motorbike.

I can honestly say that I have never had good pizza in Thailand. Tastes and looks of cardboard.

Ditto, even those solemnly recommended by Italians.
